5. DESCRIPTION
After internal verification, the turbocharger oil pipes are recommended to be replaced in order to
increase durability.

8. PROCEDURE
- Comply with the instructions in the chapter “General instructions” → page 27.
- Following the workshop manual instruction for every operation
- Cleanliness must be ensured all along the procedure.
8.1. PREPARATION (CHASSIS DESASSEMBLY)

Side panels L + R must be removed (Workshop manual – Body – Exterior).
Rear Bumper must be removed (Workshop manual – Body – Exterior)
Chassis must be split (Workshop manual - Installing and removing the direct-shift
gearbox DSG).
Powertrain + Rear chassis frame must be carefully installed on VAS 6131 equipped with
BVK 098 100.
Powertrain must be carefully attached to the VAS 6131 using ratchet strap.

8.2. REAR FRAME DISASSEMBLY

Electrical connection must be disconnected from the E-boxes L + R.
Complete Rear frame subassembly must be carefully removed.

8.3. REAR LEFT CROSS MEMBER DISASSEMBLY
Each operation must be performed individually.

Remove the rear left brake calipers + brake disc.
Remove the rear left wheel shaft.
Disconnect the subcomponents from the engine (Engine oil pipes, wires…)
Remove Carbon air intake pipes.
Carefully attach the rear left cross member using workshop crane.
Remove the fastening screws and nut of the upper cross member.

Remove the fastening screws of the lower cross member.
•
Remove the fastening screws from the mounting element.

Remove the rear left cross member with its subcomponents.
8.4. TURBO OIL PIPES REPLACEMENT LEFT SIDE
Cleanliness must be ensured all along the procedure to avoid foreign objects to enter the engine oil
system.

Catalytic converter must be removed (Quad 1/Quad 2).

Heatshield behind the catalytic converter must be removed (Q1/Q2 & Q3/Q4).
Fastening screws of the turbocharger oil pipes must be removed (M10).
Remove the Banjo screws on the turbochargers (Q1 & Q2).

Remove the screws of the fixing element and remove it from the turbochargers (Q1 & Q2)

Carefully clean the residual oil or foreign objects around the area.
Carefully install the new valve check (Quad 1 & Quad 2).
Carefully install the new turbocharger oil pipes (07E145140 L) and seals (07E145113).
Screw the fastening screws of the oil pipes (M10)
Install the new fastening screws (N 910 488 04 x4).

Re-assembly of the Rear left cross member must be performed in the reverse sequence of
removal (See Chapter 8.3).
