WARNING: Failure to use shutdown procedure can result in unexpected
hazard(s). Death or serious injury could result due to entanglement, crushing,
cutting, or other hazardous contact. Follow shutdown procedure after
operating, before performing any service or maintenance, and before
transporting.
Shutdown procedure:
1. Verify transfer case is fully disengaged and all switches are in off
position.
2. Ensure transmission is in neutral (N). Verify parking brake is on.
3. Turn off the PTO switch for the hydraulics.
4. Run engine at low idle for at least 5 minutes, before turning it off after
full-load operation. Follow the operation manual procedure for truck
and engine shutdown.
NOTICE: Allow engine to idle for recommended time or
engine damage may result.
5. Turn off engine and remove key.
6. Relieve water pressure from water tools by squeezing trigger.
Disconnect tool(s) from hose.

7. Follow all shutdown procedures according to machine Operator’s
Manual. Chock wheels.

Unless indicated, new parts from kit have callouts with numbers. Callouts with letters indicate
existing parts or general items.

WARNING: Raised load can shift or fall. Death or serious injury could be

possible if struck or crushed by falling load. Never allow anyone under a
raised load unless load is securely supported to prevent it from shifting or
falling.

WARNING: Pressurized fluid can penetrate body tissue and result in death

or serious injury. Leaks can be invisible. Keep away from any suspected leak.
Relieve pressure in the hydraulic system before searching for leaks,
disconnecting hoses, or performing any other work on the system. If you
must pressurize the system to find a suspected leak, use an object such as a
piece of wood or cardboard rather than your hands. When loosening a fitting
where some residual pressure may exist, slowly loosen the fitting until oil
begins to leak. Wait for leaking to stop before disconnecting the fitting. Fluid
injected under the skin must be removed immediately by a surgeon familiar
with this type of injury.

VMV010063 Instructions: Spoil tank baffle installation

1. Clean tank.

Remove debris from turret box at rear of spoil tank.

Clean support tubes

2. Verify lower bolt and tube position.
NOTE: Support beam before removing bolt, beam may fall when bolt is removed.
Verify position of lower rear mounting bolt for the driver side support tube. Bolt head and tube need to be
mounted toward the center of the tank for baffles to fit. Move bolt and tube if needed.

3. Verify upper bolt and tube position.
Verify position of upper front mounting bolt for the driver side support tube. Bolt head and tube need to be
mounted toward the center of the tank for baffles to fit. Move bolt and tube if needed.

4. Remove current baffling from shutoff.
Remove the current baffle/shield from the ball cage. The most efficient way is to cut the bent
mounting tabs (see below) away from the baffle, removing the majority of the original baffle,
leaving behind just the old mounting tabs. Remove any sharp edges.

5. Install clamp to outlet baffle.
Attach front baffle clamp P/N 135006985 to outlet baffle P/N 135006898 using 1 in. long 3/8 in. bolts.
Leave hardware slightly loose.

6. Install tube clamps to baffle.
Attach tube clamps P/N 135006903 and P/N 135006984 to outlet baffle P/N 135006898 using 3.5 in. long
3/8 in. bolts.
Install only the top bolts at this time. Need slightly larger than 2 in. gap.

7. Install bulb seal to baffles.
Install 22 inches of P/N 137000509 (7/16 in. bulb seal) along the top edge of P/N 135006898. Install 47
inches of P/N 137000509 (7/16 in. bulb seal) along the top edge of P/N 135006894.

8. Install outlet baffle in spoil tank.
Hang front baffle on driver side support tube. Ensure baffle clamp and baffle are straddling plate on front
wall of tank.

9. Install lower bolts and spacer.
Install lower bolts for tube clamps. Install spacer P/N 135006983 between tube and outlet baffle. Slide up
to remove gap between tube and baffle.

10. Tighten all hardware.
Snug all hardware starting with front clamp part number P/N 135006985. Lift outlet baffle up and forward
while tightening tube clamps. NO GAP should be along top edge trim outlet baffle. Tighten hardware for
front clamp.

11. Install boom baffle in spoil tank.
With two technicians (team lift), lift the boom baffle up to the top of the tank and rotate into place.

12. Install tube clamps to boom baffle.
Attach tube clamps P/N 135006903 and P/N 135006984 to boom baffle P/N 135006894 using 3.5 in x
3/8 in. bolts. Snug bolts to allow movement for adjusting position.

13. Install clamp to boom baffle.
Attach rear baffle clamp P/N 135006987 to boom baffle P/N 135006894 using 1 in. long 3/8 in. bolts.
Leave hardware hand tight.

14. Tighten all hardware.
Lift outlet baffle up and push rearward while tightening tube clamps. NO GAP should be along top edge
trim outlet baffle as needed. Tighten hardware for front clamp P/N 135006987.

15. Remove Figures 1 – 3 and attach to the invoice or place in the manual storage box so unit owner
can place with existing parts manual.

VMV020063 Instructions: Cleanout Expansion Installation
1. Disconnect the battery before initiating installation process.
2. Remove valve and fittings from left side of cyclone. Set aside parts for later use.

3. Remove left side of pipe.
a. Discard cap.
b. Mark weld between elbow and straight section.
c. Cut at weld between straight pipe and elbow with a cutoff wheel
or reciprocating saw (ensure cut is square, as new pipe will be
welded to this section.)

d. Grind off old weld at the end of the pipe and end so a new pipe
can be welded with no gaps greater than 1/16 in.
e. Grind inside and outside of pipe to ensure a strong weld.

4. Attach cleanout door flange.
a. Align cleanout door assembly (P/N 135007387) so that the tab is towards the cab and the hole is
towards the air filter.
b. Paint may need to be ground off at end to ensure a clean weld.
c. Tack in place and ensure alignment is correct.
d. Weld all around pipe creating a watertight seal.

5. Assemble hinge and clamp.
a. Attach clamp P/N 8097604 using two ¼ in. x 3/4 in.
bolts and nuts and four washers.
Thread one 3/8 in. nut onto the rod end (P/N
135007395). Sandwich the flange plate (P/N
135007385) using the other 3/8 in. nut. Leave loose as
adjustments will be needed.

6. Assemble door.
a. Install the previously removed cleanout valve
into the bung on the door using thread sealant.
b. Ensure hole for the cleanout valve aligns with
the hole in P/N 135007396 (gasket) and P/N
135007628 (backer plate.)

c. Using clevis pin P/N (2110013), attach cleanout
door to rod end and secure with cotter pin P/N
(510338809.)
d. Adjust clamp and rod end to provide even and
sufficient amount of clamping force to keep a
watertight seal.

7. Cut right side of cap.
a. Cut cap on the left side next to the weld saving as much of the pipe as possible.
b.Grind the end of the pipe square so a new pipe can be
welded with no gaps greater than 1/16 in.

8. Full weld per drawing (if applicable).

a. Tack and weld P/N 135007455 according to drawing.
b. Ensure threads on weld bung are kept clean and free of debris.

9. Mount P/N 135007455.

Mark here to center
between air filter and cabinet.

a. Align the P/N 135007455 between the
cabinet and air filter housing. If necessary,
P/N 135007369 may be added between the
filter weldment and 135007455 to allow for
centering. Cut to length as needed.

b. Clock P/N 135007455 so that the ball
valve will be within the width of the
machine. Ball valve should not extend
further than the cabinet when the valve is
closed.
c. Tack P/N 135007455 to the machine and
ensure that the valve is within bounds of the
machine and is centered between the
cabinet and air filter housing.

10. Full weld extension per drawing (if applicable).
a. Make adjustments as necessary.
b. Full weld the cleanout extension to the machine creating a water/airtight seal.

11. Install ball valve.
a. Thread 3 in. ball valve (P/N 135007409) onto end per
drawing using thread sealant.
b. Attach 3 in. cap (P/N 135007406) to Ball valve.

12. Test for leaks.
a. Close and latch the cleanout door.
b. Close 3 in. ball valve on extension.
c. Attach machine water hose to the cleanout QD on the cleanout door.
d. Turn the water pump on to begin filling the cleanout. This will take a minimum of 2 minutes to complete
with the water pump at 100%.
e. With the cleanout full, check for leaks at all welds.
f. Adjust door seal as necessary.
g. Mark all leaks and empty cleanout of all water.
h. Weld all leak points and test again.
13. Paint.
a. Once it has been ensured that there are no leaks, drain all water from cyclone cleanout.
b. Prime and paint all exposed metal on cyclone cleanout extension.

VMV030063 Instructions: Turret washout installation
1. Clean tank.
Remove any built-up debris from turret box at rear of spoil tank.

2. Drill 3/4 in. holes for bulkhead fittings.
NOTE: Hole can be drilled slightly oversized if needed.

From the center line of the weld bead measure to the center of truck 5 in. From the bottom of the top
plate measure down 7 in. Holes are mirrored along the center line of the truck.

3. Install reducer fittings.
Assemble .125 inch nozzle (P/N 135010485) on the 45 degree side of the bulkhead
fittings (P/N 99391001).
