The following DTC (intermittent or static) is logged in the engine control unit J623 (diagnostic address 0001):
•

DTC U060B00 Lost Communication With Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost sensor “A”.

Technical Background 1
Under certain conditions, vibrations may cause the wiring on electrical connector T3y to break.

Production Solution
Vehicles from production date 01/16/2025 onwards were manufactured using the optimized process.

Check wiring on electrical connector T3y for
charge pressure sender -G31- for damage (see
yellow circle on figure 1).

The damage may only be noticeable after depinning the connector or removing the harness
tape.

If damage is found at the G31 connection, repair as follows:
Disconnect electrical connector T91 on the engine
control unit and loosen the wiring harness at the
two mounting points (green arrows in Figure 1) to
gain better access.
Cut the 3 wires of sender -G31- approx. 25 mm
after they emerge from the main harness bundle
(blue arrow in Figure 3).
Pin repair wires 000 979 056 EC into connector
housing 4K0 9737 03A and cut them to 250 mm.

Then fit the protective cap 4G0 971 921 onto the
new connector (position 2 in Figure 3).
Connect the repair wiring harness to the main
wiring harness using crimps 000 979 940 (position
4 in Figure 3).
Using N 106 497 02 wrap the repair wires using
felt tape starting at connector and overlapping
towards the main harness.

The length of the new wire harness must be 170
mm from the connector housing to the branch-off
point in main harness (see double-ended green
arrow in Figure 4)
The repair harness must emerge from the main
bundle 10 mm below the cable tie (see doubleended blue arrow in Figure 4).
The remaining excess length is tucked underneath
the wrapping in the main bundle.

Reassemble the vehicle and clear DTCs.
When billing, please always attach photos/videos that clearly shows the complaint to DOC-IT. To ensure a
reference to the vehicle, the image/video must:
•

Include the VIN and date.

•

Must not be edited.

•

Should be in focus and taken with sufficient light. A high resolution is not necessary.

If appropriate, please mark the location of the problem so that parts analysis has a clear reference to the
complaint. Please ensue that the photo documentation does not show any persons and/or face, license plates, or
customer data.
