PURPOSE: This publication supersedes the previous bulletin “SC-20-05-01 Tool List Revised,” as it is now obsolete.
This Service Communication is listing special service tools available for purchase through Karma Automotive. there is also
a list of required tools which can be purchased locally. This list is required for any retail center to properly service the Karma
vehicle. Place an order through normal parts ordering through the Parts Department at Karma Automotive. These tools are
for all produced Karma Vehicle (Revero, Revero GT and GTS, and GS–6 models). See the following page for equipment
every shop is required to have as well. Check for bulletin SC-24-05-02 for PPE and some tools recommend for high voltage
work.

Every service shop is required to have a air conditioning refrigerant recharge and recover machine. Karma recommends
Robinair to handle the Karma R-1234yf refrigerant.

Every technician using this recovery equipment needs to be certified to recover refrigerant by the EPA
– Section 608 Technician Certification, see the EPA website (https://www.epa.gov/section608/certification-programs-section-608-technicians) for a local program near you.
Karma also recommends that every technician has access to or in their tool box already.
All these recommended tools are available locally or through the websites of the respective
manufacturers. A Midtronics Battery tender and charger for the 12–volt battery, such as
PSC-700 S KIT Power Supply Maintainer. Karma has supplied similar recommendations
in the baseline update bulletins, these provide reliable power for charging and maintaining
battery state-of-charge during service reflash, complex maintenance and in the showroom.
These are available locally or a simple web search will get you the best source for you.

Power Supply
Some basic tools also required in a shop which can be source locally are plastic body gap gauge tools,
each feeler measures a gap in millimeter increments, very handy and useful in PDI reports. These are
available through various sources (e.g. snapon.com)
Common electric tools to assist in testing and diagnoses, such as terminal release and testing tools
from sources such OTC.com, would be required if not already owned by a competent technician.
