SITUATION:
A customer may express a concern that the passenger compartment is too warm/humid
when the vehicle is subject to solar load.
CAUSE:
The rain, light, humidity and solar sensor and HVAC Control Module (HVAC) software.
ACTION:
Follow the service instruction below.
This bulletin is only applicable for the specific Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
ranges stated within this bulletin. Any warranty claims for VINs outside of the
specific VIN ranges stated within this bulletin will be rejected.

1.

Replace the rain, light, humidity and sunload sensor (see TOPIx Workshop
Manual section 501-16: Wipers and Washers - Removal and Installation - Rain,
Light, Humidity and Sunload Sensor).

2.

Continue to the DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUCTION.

Range Rover Evoque Vehicles Only
3.

Replace the rain, light, humidity and sunload sensor (see TOPIx Workshop
Manual section 501-16: Wipers and Washers - Removal and Installation - Rain
/light Sensor).

4.

Continue to the DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUCTION.

Discovery Sport Vehicles Only
5.

Replace the rain, light, humidity and sunload sensor (see TOPIx Workshop
Manual section 501-16: Wipers and Washers - Removal and Installation - Rain
Sensor).

Replace the rain, light, humidity and sunload sensor (see TOPIx Workshop
Manual section 501-16: Wipers and Washers - Removal and Installation - Rain,
Light, Humidity and Sunload Sensor).

Continue to the DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUCTION.

DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUCTION

NOTE:
Modules already at the latest software level will not be available for update.

1.

Connect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment and the JLR approved battery
support unit.

2.

The latest version of Diagnosis Device Agent must be installed.

3.

Launch Diagnosis Device Agent, and log in.

4.

Within 'Vehicle Data', select ' HVAC'

5.

Within 'Applications and Troubleshooting', select 'Module Programing'

6.

Run ' HVAC - Software - Update Module - Existing Module Programing'.

7.

Follow all on-screen instructions to complete the task.

8.

When all of the tasks are complete, exit the session.

9.

Disconnect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment and the JLR approved
battery support unit.
