Volvo Trucks has identified that 59 VN (4) day cab model trucks were manufactured
without the back-up camera kit that includes the back-up monitoring scope expansion.
To address this issue, please follow the instructions below to properly install the
mounting bracket and ensure the wiring harness is securely attached.

5. Locate the two threaded holes containing weld nuts on the back of the cab.

6. Install a flange washer (PN: 8142342) on each screw (PN: 994804) and mount the bracket
(PN: 78704337) to the back of the cab. Ensure the sealing rings (PN: 8142340) are placed
between the cab and the bracket.

7. Tighten the two bolts to the specified torque.

24 ± 4 Nm (18 ± 3 lb-ft)

8. Once the bracket is installed, connect the cable ties (PN: 980881) to the back-up camera
harness and press the retainers into the three mounting holes located on the bracket.

9. Remove wheel chocks.
10. Return vehicle to service.
