Campaign
Service all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even if the customer has no issue with the chassis.
1. Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their chassis is on the list.
2. In Service Management, select Campaign 46011 to add it to the case. If the unit is released back into service without performing the repair, make
sure to also release the Campaign in Service Management.
3. If you are not using Service Management to start repair orders, review SIR for “Complete” next to the 46011 Campaign code prior to performing this
repair.
4. Follow the procedures to re-torque the ESS gland nuts and ESS gland HV cable connections (Truck must be energized/de-energized).

Starting on 11/27/2024 and for repairs completed by 12/01/2025, Peterbilt will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and labor:
6.9 hours to re-torque ESS gland nuts and terminal bolts (Includes time for 2 technicians to de-energize and re-energize truck). Use Recommended
Repair 46011.
For supplemental repairs, file a long form claim and enter 46011 in the “Campaign Code” field.

Peterbilt a constaté que sur certains châssis de véhicules électriques à batterie de modèles 579EV et 520EV, fabriqués entre le
24/06/2019 et le 28/11/2023, il est possible que les écrous de presse-étoupe du système de stockage d’énergie haute tension soient
desserrés ou que le couple soit inadéquat. Ceci peut générer un voyant d’avertissement intermittent de clé sur l’écran du tableau de
bord. Les techniciens resserreront tous les écrous de presse-étoupe et les boulons de borne selon les spécifications appropriées.

Dear Peterbilt Customer,
Peterbilt has decided that certain model 579EV and 520EV BEV chassis built from 06/24/2019 through 11/28/2023 may have loose or
improperly torqued High Voltage (HV) Energy Storage System (ESS) gland nuts. This may cause an intermittent wrench warning light
on the dash display. Technicians will re-torque all ESS gland nuts and terminal bolts to the proper specifications.

Some 579EV and 520EV BEV trucks may have loose or improperly torqued
ESS gland nuts and terminal bolts.
What will your dealer do?
Your dealer will re-torque all ESS gland nuts and terminal bolts to the proper
specifications.
What should you do?
Contact your Peterbilt Dealer to schedule an appointment for repair.
Please contact a Peterbilt dealership to schedule an appointment for this improvement. To find your Peterbilt dealer, please visit the

the VIN(s) listed in this letter. The work for this improvement will take approximately 7 hours of labor depending on vehicle
configuration and dealer scheduling. There will be no charge to you if completed within standard warranty or by 12/01/2025, whichever
is later.
If you had this repair performed before you received this letter, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a
pre-notification remedy of the problem associated with this campaign.
