Measure
Current P16, P22 and P28 rear side markers have 2 pieces of tape on the back side, where one of them is covering a breather hole. If
required, the work intent is to reposition one of the pieces of the tape to stop side markers from becoming foggy under any circumstances.
During inspection, if rear side markers were found foggy or misted please follow the procedure below:
1. Remove side markers from bumper (P22, P28) or bumper check (P16)
2. Replace effected side markers for new ones
3. Before installation :
Ensure surface is properly cleaned
Confirm if side-markers have 3M tape installed as per image below, correct the position of the tape if needed. Check that the
4. To Install :
Apply 3M 4298 UV promotor to bumper/bumper cheek and allow flash off time
Remove the red backing from the double-sided tape and fit the rear side markers as usual
Once in place, apply pressure to ends and middle of the marker to secure 3m tape to the bumper /bumper check
Observation : Do not proceed with side marker installation if breather hole (circled at the top image) is covered by the tape
