PLEASE FORWARD THIS INFORMATION TO YOUR RV SALES & SERVICE MANAGERS.

This following interim recall notice has been emailed to impacted EKKO owners and will be followed by a USPS
notice.
Please note the recommendation to remove the solar panel fuse, located behind the solar controller. Removing
the fuse will disable the solar charging system until the recall can be performed.
Winnebago recommends the same action for EKKO units that are in your inventory.
We apologize for the inconvenience of this recall.

Dear Owner:
This notice is being sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and
Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Reason For This Recall
Winnebago Motorhomes has decided that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists on
certain 2021 through 2025 Ekko Motorhomes.
These motor homes were manufactured January 14, 2021, through July 19, 2024. Our records
indicate that you have purchased a vehicle with the serial number which appears above.
The Ekko solar charging system may not have sufficient overcurrent protection. Insufficient
overcurrent protection can lead to overheating of the circuit, increasing the risk of fire or injury.
Interim Notice
This interim recall notice is to inform you of an upcoming recall to correct the issue identified
above. You will receive a second notification when the remedy is available.
What We Will Do
Winnebago is working on validating a remedy and expects to have it available to release in
November. This repair will be done at no charge to you.

What you should do
Until the recall remedy is performed, we recommend you remove the solar panel fuse,
located behind the solar controller. Removing the fuse will disable your solar charging
system. If you are uncomfortable doing this or have other questions pertaining to this notice,
you may contact your dealer or Winnebago Customer Care at
[email protected] or (800) 537-1885 for guidance. If you are experiencing any
issues with your solar panel system, bring your coach to your local dealer to be inspected.

If you have paid to remedy this issue, you may be eligible for a refund. To obtain information on

Federal law requires that any vehicle lessor receiving this recall notice must forward a copy of
this notice to the lessee within ten days.

interest of your safety and continued satisfaction with our products. This letter does not
constitute an acknowledgement of legal liability.
