What is the reason for this Warranty Extension?
On some 2022–24 MDX, 2021–23 TLX, and 2021–24 RDX models, a coaxial cable terminal was not manufactured
to proper specifications. An improperly manufactured terminal may lead to poor communication in the media-oriented
system (MOST) bus network which can potentially affect the audio sound quality.
To ensure your confidence in your vehicle, Acura is extending the warranty coverage on the FAKRA service cables
to 8 years or 100,000 miles from the original date of purchase, whichever comes first.
This warranty extension provides coverage for the original owner and any subsequent owners. No action is required
on your part unless you experience a problem. This warranty extension will not apply to any vehicle that has ever
been declared a total loss or sold for salvage by a financial institution or insurer or has a branded or similar title
under any state's law.
What will Acura do?
If you are experiencing a problem related to this condition, Acura will replace the FAKRA service cables for FREE.
Please call an authorized Acura dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle repaired for FREE. Once you
make an appointment for your vehicle, be advised that the repair may take approximately 1.3 hours. However, your
dealer can provide you with a better estimate of the overall time for this service visit, as it may be necessary to make
your vehicle available for a longer period of time. I you are not the only the driver of this vehicle, please advise all
other drivers and passengers of this important information.

Please forward a copy of this notice to the lessee.
What to do if you feel this notice is in error
Our records show that you are the current registered owner of an affected vehicle involved in this warranty extension.
If this is not the case, or the name/address information is not correct, please fill out and return the enclosed,
postage-paid Information Change Card. We will then update our records.
If you previously paid to have your FAKRA service cables replaced due to this condition, you may be eligible for
reimbursement, even if you no longer own the vehicle. Refer to the attached reimbursement instructions for eligibility
requirements and the reimbursement procedure.

En algunos modelos MDX 2022–2024, TLX 2021–2023 y RDX 2021–2024, no se fabricó un terminal de cable

estimado del tiempo total de esta visita de servicio, ya que pudiera ser necesario que su vehículo esté disponible por
un periodo de tiempo más largo. Si usted no es el único conductor de este vehículo, por favor informe a todos los

llene y devuelva la tarjeta de cambio de Información anexa pre-pagada. Con esto actualizaremos nuestros
registros.
Si usted anteriormente pagó por el reemplazo de sus cables de servicio FAKRA debido a esta condición, puede ser
elegible para un reembolso, incluso si ya no es propietario del vehículo. Consulte las instrucciones para el
reembolso que se encuentra anexa para ver los requisitos de elegibilidad y el procedimiento de reembolso.
