Concern:

Steps may break at the riser due to the amount of overhang.

Remedy:

Replace the treads.

Flat Rate:

920008 - 0.3h per step tread replaced, 0.1h for admin.

1. Verify if the step tread is held in place by a screw. If so, you will need to remove the screws first.

2. Next you will need a pry bar or comparable tool. Place the prybar under the step tread where it meets the
step riser. Lift at this point to remove the tread from the frame.

3. Dry fit the replacement step tread. Be sure the replacement tread is fully seated against the riser. Measure
and predrill for the screws. Countersink the screw hole so the head of the screw is slightly below flush with the
surface of the step tread. Remove the tread and place a bead of Sika-Flex on the side supports and riser for the
step. Attach the replacement step and secure with screws verifying they are below the surface of the step
tread. Repair complete.
