What is the reason for this Product Update?
During the assembly process for some vehicles, the sealer used to secure the rear glass may have contacted the
defroster heating elements. This can lead to a hot-spot and the weakening of the glass over time as the defroster
is used.
What will Honda do?
Please call any authorized Honda dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle’s rear window inspected
and glass replaced, if determined to be defective, for FREE. Once you make an appointment for your vehicle, be
advised that the total process may take approximately 25 minutes. However, your dealer can provide you with a
better estimate of the overall time for this service visit, as it may be necessary to make your vehicle available for
longer. If you are not the only driver of this vehicle, please advise all other drivers and passengers of this
important information.
Lessor information
Please forward a copy of this notice to the lessee.
What to do if you feel this notice is in error
Our records show that you are the current registered owner of a 2023 HR-V involved in this product update. If
this is not the case, or the name/address information is incorrect, please fill out and return the enclosed
postage-paid Information Change Card. We will then update our records.
If you previously paid to have your rear glass replaced due to this defect, you may be eligible for reimbursement,
even if you no longer own the vehicle. Refer to the attached reimbursement instructions for eligibility
requirements and the reimbursement procedure.

Actualización de producto: Inspección de la ventana trasera de la HR-V 2023

¿Cuál es el motivo de esta actualización de producto?
Durante el proceso de ensamblaje de algunos vehículos, el sellador utilizado para asegurar el vidrio trasero puede
haber entrado en contacto con los elementos de calentamiento del desempañador. Esto puede generar un punto
caliente y el debilitamiento del vidrio con el tiempo a medida que se utiliza el desempañador.

¿Qué hará Honda?
Llame a cualquier concesionario Honda autorizado y programe una cita para que inspeccionen la ventana trasera de
su vehículo y reemplacen el vidrio, si se determina que está defectuoso, de forma GRATUITA. Una vez que
programe una cita para su vehículo, le avisamos que el proceso total podría tardar aproximadamente 25 minutos. No
obstante, su concesionario le puede ofrecer un mejor estimado del tiempo total de esta visita de servicio, ya que
pudiera ser necesario que su vehículo esté disponible por más tiempo. Si usted no es el único conductor de este
vehículo, por favor informe a todos los conductores y pasajeros sobre esta información importante.

Por favor envié una copia de esta notificación al arrendatario.
Qué debe hacer si considera que esta notificación es errónea
Nuestros registros muestran que usted es el propietario actual registrado de un vehículo HR-V 2023 el cual forma
parte de esta actualización de producto. Si no es el caso, o si la información de nombre/dirección está incorrecta, por
favor llene y devuelva la Tarjeta de Cambio de Información anexa pre-pagada. Con esto actualizaremos nuestros
registros.
Si anteriormente pagó para reemplazar el vidrio trasero debido a este defecto, puede ser elegible para un reembolso,
aunque ya no sea el propietario del vehículo. Consulte las instrucciones para el reembolso que se encuentra anexa
para ver los requisitos de elegibilidad y el procedimiento de reembolso.
