All procedures and operations listed below are included in the PDI reimbursement, unless otherwise noted

Static Air Pressure Test

With parking brake set, vehicle in neutral, and tires chocked, turn vehicle on until the
air pressure reads 120 psi (827 kPA)
Turn the vehicle off. The pressure should not drop more than 10 psi (69 kPa) within 5
minutes.
Tighten airline fitting, as required.

E-stop button

Check the E-stop switch for proper operation

Low Air Warning System

Confirm that the low air pressure warning system operates correctly

Fault Codes

Check for active faults via infotainment screens

Pop-Up Messages

Note any messages on dash screen(s)

HVAC System Operation

Check HVAC operation

Electric and Air Horn(s)

Confirm that the horn(s) operate

Lights (Headlights, Road Lights, Daytime
Running, Marker, Turn Signal, Stop, and Tail)

Confirm that all headlights, road lights, daytime running lights, marker lights, turn signals,
stoplights, and taillights operate properly and adjust, as necessary

Windshield Wipers and Washer

Make sure the wipers and washers operate correctly

Safety Belts and Seat Control Operation and
Mounting

Inspect to make sure the seats are fully adjustable, the mounting fasteners are tight, and
the seat belts operate correctly

B. Under the Hood or Cab – Visual Inspection (tighten or adjust only)
Coolant Level
Coolant and Heater Hoses

Check coolant level in both surge tanks and fill to correct level with approved coolant or to
the minimum antifreeze concentration, as needed

The concentration must provide protection to -30 F (-34 C) or below
Inspect all radiator and heater hose connections for leakage and tighten connections, as
necessary

HVAC System

Inspect for leaks around condenser, A/C lines, and fittings

Air Compressor Air Filter

Check air filter assembly mounting clamp tightness, tighten if needed
Inspect for power steering fluid leaks and tighten fittings, as necessary. Check reservoir
fluid level. Add fluid, as necessary.

Steering Shaft Pinch Bolts

EVDM Cable Connections

Check EVDM positive and negative cable connections for tightness and proper torque
(13NM, 10FTLB)

High Voltage Cables

Check for routing/clipping issues and wear/pinch (need to remove 2 large deck plates)

Low Voltage Batteries

Check open circuit voltage for all batteries. If below 12.5 volts, charge to required level.
Check all battery cables for correct routing and clamping. Make corrections, as necessary.
Time to tighten connections and reroute cables or to add tie-straps is included in PDI
reimbursement.

Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir

Check windshield reservoir level. Adjust to the full mark, as necessary.

C. Chassis – Inspection
Steering Linkage

Inspect for Torque Seal on the steering-driveline-yoke pinch bolts, Pitman-arm pinch
bolt, drag link to steering arm ball stud, and the tie rod ends clamp bolts
Tighten to specifications, as necessary, and apply white Torque Seal F-900

Chassis, Fifth Wheel

Lube, as necessary

All Drain and Fill Plugs

Check and tighten all drain plugs and fill plugs

eCarrier Fluid Level

Check oil level and add oil, as necessary

Rear Axle Differential

Check oil level and add oil, as necessary

Spring U-Bolts

Tighten all U-bolts to correct torque

Drive Axle Flange Fasteners

Tighten drive axle flange fasteners to correct torque specifications

Wheel Nuts

Tighten all wheel nuts to correct torque

Tire Pressure

Check and adjust, as necessary

Charging

Verify charging functionality by plugging vehicle into a charger

Wiring Harnesses

Check all wiring harnesses for proper securement and no chafing

Coolant hoses and pipes

D. Road Test

Check all coolant hoses and pipes for proper securement and no chafe points
Check connections for leakage and tighten connections, as necessary

Parking and Service Brake Test

In a safe area that is free of other vehicles, pedestrians, and obstacles, do a rapid
deceleration from 10 MPH/16 KPH to zero. If the vehicle brakes well (without shudder,
pull to one side, or other issues), repeat at 20 MPH/32 KPH. If the vehicle again exhibits
no shudder, pull, or other issues, repeat the test a final time at 30 MPH/48 KPH.

Regenerative Braking

Verify functionality in each of the 3 modes

Speed Control and Throttle Operation

Check throttle response and cruise control operation

Steering Performance

Check for smooth operation without binding or tires rubbing

eAxle Shifting

Verify shifting to D, N, and R
Verify upshift/downshift between gears 1 and 2
