Condition
Customer states:
• The red electrical system warning is shown in the instrument cluster with the message “electrical system
fault. Safely stop vehicle”.
• Vehicle can no longer be started.
Workshop findings:
The customer statement can be reproduced.
The following DTC is stored in the hybrid batter management, J840 (address word 008C):
• P0AC000: “Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Current Sensor “A” Circuit Range/Performance” symptom 14340
(Active/Passive)
The switching unit for high-voltage battery SX6 has the software version 0108 or 0208.
The Software of the switching unit for high-voltage battery -SX6- can be checked as follows:
• Guided Functions in ODIS>> Diagnostic address 008C>> Guided Function>> Read identification>>

Read additional identification data>> Read and display identification data of sub-systems (slaves). The
result of the identification is shown in the diagnostic log.

1. Explain to the customer that information on the availability of the planned solution is expected by the end
of the 4th quarter of 2024 (subject to change) and that no repairs are necessary at this point. Do not
replace any components for this condition since this will not resolve the customer’s concern.
2. Create a PSS record in the PSS application through the Pending Service Solutions (PSS) link in
AccessAudi (under Related Links >> Service).
If this TSB applies, please proceed as follows:
1. Activate bus sleep mode.
2. Lock the vehicle.
a. No electrical equipment must be active (contactors must be open).
b. Vehicle must no longer be connected to charger.
c.

Erase all DTC entries after the bus sleep cycle.

3. Then re-assess whether the issue still occurs.
If the complaint persists after the bus sleep cycle, please submit a TAC web ticket.
• Please write this TSB number in the “customer comments”. This allows the internal department to
identify the connection to this TSB quickly.
• TAC will contact you as soon as possible and provide further information.
