Condition
It is determined through standard diagnosis routines that one or more modules of the HV battery require replacement. Replacement HV battery modules are an approved solution to repair the vehicle when replaced by a certified
HVE.

Technical Background
Replacement HV battery cell modules are available in two part number variants depending on the polarity of the
+/- terminals and their location in the pack (PAB915591A and PAB915591). More technical information about the
HV battery internal components is available in the PIWIS tester under BMC -> Maintenance repairs -> System

Service Information
Module Part Numbers
Replacement modules are ordered by the currently designated Porsche Part Numbers. These part numbers are listed
on the outer box label as shown in Figure 1.

The modules themselves will have a separate VW group part number on the top as well as the sticker on the side of
the module as shown in Figures 2 and 3.

Once replacement stock of these part numbers is completely consumed, Porsche Part numbers PAB915591A and
PAB915591 will supersede permanently to PAB915591J and PAB915591H.
Note that the letter index at the end of the VW Group number 591.G or 591.H corresponds to the version of the
Porsche part number 591 or 591A, not the direct letter of the new Porsche part number index (591J or 591H).
BMC Software Level
The current software update to BMC SW 0293 is neither required nor recommended for repairs replacing only the
existing module part numbers PAB915591A and PAB915591. The software update will be mandatory once new
module part numbers PAB915591J and PAB915591H are installed, either in complete (all 8) or mixed installation
as stated in TI 63/24.
This bulletin will remain in effect until new replacement module part numbers are available along with a compatible
BMC SW version.
