ARB2 - Replacing Upper Trailing Arm on the Front Axle (Recall Campaign)

Concerns:

Upper trailing arm (front left)

Cause:

There is a possibility that trailing arms on the front axle (top front left) on affected vehicles do
not meet the required specifications.
If this is the case, the trailing arm of the axle may break in the course of the vehicle’s service life. A
fracture in the trailing arm would cause impairment in steering. A potential loss of control of the vehicle
cannot be ruled out if this happens. This can increase the risk of accident and injury.

Action:

Replace upper trailing arm (front left) on the front axle.

The wheel bearing housing must be secured against tipping when removing the upper trailing arm using

the corresponding driver assistance systems is to be carried out under this recall campaign.

Customer mobility / Vehicle transport
Important information on customer mobility
If requested, mobility for the affected customer can be guaranteed by offering a suitable replacement
vehicle. The current rules governing the Customer Mobility Programme generally apply here. Depending
on the vehicles used to guarantee customer mobility, the costs incurred can be invoiced as follows:
Utilization of Porsche vehicles via Mobility Account (standard process)
Costs are processed using the standard process in accordance with the currently applicable rules
governing the Customer Mobility Programme.
Vehicle collection from customer (vehicle transport)
If necessary, the Porsche Center can also arrange for the vehicle to be collected and transported to the
workshop via Assistance, including the provision of a replacement vehicle. Vehicle transport must be
commissioned and invoiced by the Porsche Center responsible. The costs incurred in the campaign
claim can be invoiced as external services (sublets) in the campaign application for ARB2 workshop
campaign. Please attach a copy of the invoice to the campaign claim in “External services”.
