HOW TO IDENTIFY PARTS
To easily identify if a unit already has the new
supplier parts installed, refer to the images
below.
REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
NEW KIT INSTALLATION
Refer to the GL1800 Gold Wing Service Manual.
1. Remove the original TPMS sensors and
receiver.
2. Install the new TPMS sensors and receiver
with the bracket, sub-harness and hardware
provided with the kit.
After the new TPMS sensors and receiver have
been installed, the system must be activated and
checked for proper operation.
The sensors are already paired with the receiver
from the factory. Test the system by riding the
motorcycle until the TPMS and Low Tire
Warning lights on the dash turn off
(approximately two minutes at 22 mph
(35 km/h). Once the lights go off, the system is
operational.
NEW SENSOR REPLACEMENT
Replace the TPMS sensor/valve using the
appropriate service manual procedures.
You must complete the registration procedure to
pair the new sensor to the existing receiver. See
the GL1800 Gold Wing Service Manual
procedure - MEMORIZING THE TIRE PRESSURE
SENSOR ID.
WHEEL REPLACEMENT
Identify which TPMS sensor/valve was installed
on the old wheel.
If both TPMS sensors/valves are working
properly and in good condition, move the TPMS
sensor/valve from the old wheel to the new
wheel.
If any unit that still has the original TPMS style
requires a new TPMS sensor/valve, you must
install the complete Initial Repair Kit.
Wheel sub-assemblies no longer include the
TPMS sensor/valve and must be purchased
separately.

READING SENSORS WITH TPMS TOOL
When using the ATEQ VT36 or VT37 TPMS tool
(or equivalent) to read and register the sensors
used in the TPMS kit explained in this bulletin,
you MUST select the 2018-2023 model year
option. The TPMS sensors in this kit will not read
correctly if the 2009~2017 option is selected in
the TPMS tool.
ATEQ VT55
This model will not perform the TPMS sensor
registration procedure on YM 2009 ~ current
GL1800 models. The VT55 must be replaced with
a VT36 or VT37 model.
ATEQ VT36
This model must have up-to-date software in
order to read and register newer style TPMS
sensors used in some GL1800 Gold Wing
applications.
NOTE: To update the ATEQ software, access
the ATEQ Product Support page and then
select your tool. Next, download the PC
Software (WebVT) to the PC and then follow
the instructions as shown in the video on the
product support page. https://www.ateqtpms.com/en-us/home/support/
ATEQ VT37
This tool can be used to read and register all
TPMS sensors installed on YM 2009 ~ Current
GL1800.
