Condition
Some customers may comment on an engine vibration after the engine
mount(s) were replaced. This concern may be more noticeable at idle.
Cause
The cause of this condition could be that all the necessary parts were not
replaced when the engine mount(s) were replaced. There was a change
made to some engine mounts and additional parts need to be replaced
with the new engine mount(s). If these additional parts are not installed
with the new engine mount, then the mount will ground out and cause the
vibration. IF additional parts are needed, with the new engine mount(s),
then the parts catalog will have a note that states "ORDER T/W". Then it
will list the additional part numbers that NEED to be replaced with the
engine mount, see example below.
Correction:
To correct this concern, review the parts catalog to determine if additional parts need to be
replaced with the new engine mount(s), if so, then replace the necessary parts.
Note: On some models, the transmission and both the left and right engine mounts need to be
replaced all together, along with any additional parts listed in the parts catalog. The parts
catalog will indicate when this is necessary and any additional parts.
