screws Replacement

Certain Maserati GranTurismo GranCabrio Folgore (BEV) MY24 listed in MODISCS+ are involved
in a Rapid Update to replace the front axle shaft screws.
On a limited batch of vehicles, the front axle shaft screws may not meet manufacturing
standards which consequently can cause an oil leak. To remedy this, The half shaft screws
including the retaining plate will need to be replaced.
We remind you that all the Rapid Updates must be performed within the first workshop visit,
regardless of the Mandatory setting set in Modis, as required by Maserati policies.
Also, for vehicles in Stock Dealer / PDI, it is necessary to carry out all action operations before
delivery to the end customer, as required by the White Book and explicitly reported in the Predelivery checklist.

1. Always check ModisCS+ to see if the vehicle is involved in this action and if it has not been
previously performed.
2. Place the car on the lift and proceed with removing the right front wheel, following the
instructions in the workshop manual.
• 6.00.001.0 RIGHT FRONT WHEEL RIM.

3. Identify the area of the joint to be checked and check that there are no obvious traces of
grease/oil, paying particular attention to the area under the head of the screws, external
diameter of the joint and ends of the screws beyond the flange.

4. Carefully clean the interface area, including the half-shaft holes, then replace all the screws
and plates following the procedure given in the workshop manual from point 15.
5. 03.22.002 COMPLETE FRONT HALF SHAFT RIGHT Removal/refitting – replacement
Note : For this activity it is not necessary to carry out all the disassemblies foreseen in the
workshop procedure available in the manual but it is sufficient to reach the screws with a
torque wrench.
6. Complete the replacement of the components (screws and plates) of both axles, right and
left.
7. Note: If oil contamination is found from the joint, it will be necessary to open a BOL report to
obtain additional information on the type of intervention to be carried out.
8. Restore any disassembled components by following the procedure in reverse order.
9. Procedure complete.
