Positioned between the steady mid-size SUV segment
(the second largest in the retail industry) and the
growing mid-luxury SUV segment, Enclave has built a
reputation as an exceptional three-row SUV. Now, with
a dynamic design featuring the New Face of Buick, a
host of premium new features and an all-around sense
of empowerment to apply to life, the 25MY Enclave is
set to infuse Buick’s portfolio of premium crossovers
and SUVs with a breath of fresh air.
The appeal of this all-new rendition of Enclave can be
classified in four defining elements: Sophisticated Style,
Luxurious Touches, Connected in Comfort and Driver
Assurance. At the outset of the program, the Buick
team kept these four ideals at the forefront of their
minds, resulting in an Enclave that will continue to build
on its extremely successful record while still surprising
customers with unexpected delights.

Product Highlights

Vehicle Architecture
The strength of Enclave architecture begins with the
functionality of a mid-size SUV combined with the good
bones of the previous-generation model. It goes on to
incorporate enhanced driving dynamics that give the
feel of a smaller vehicle due to the smooth ride and
maneuverability engineers were able to achieve.

Luxurious Touches

From afar, customers will note the high-mounted LED
headlamps, taillights and turn signals featuring the
brand’s hallmark Wing Signature. This lighting extends
to every trim, with slight nuances to differentiate uplevel
models. On Avenir, for instance, the headlamps and
taillamps illuminate sophisticated walk-up/walkaway
animations that welcome the driver to their journey or
give them a luxurious send-off when they’ve reached
their destination. There are also three exterior colors
that are new to Buick: Cherry Red Tint, Ocean Blue
Metallic and Smokey Amethyst.
Once inside, Enclave’s premium identity permeates all
corners of the cabin, with an inviting array of textures
and materials, including all-new interior colors, such as
Ebony with Sky Cool Gray accents, available on all trim
levels, and two color combinations for Avenir that are
new to Buick in North America: Sheer with Phantom
Blue and Sheer with Mocha. Directly in the driver’s line
of view is a redesigned steering wheel offering a sleek
new look and feel, inspired by the Wildcat EV Concept.

Active Noise Cancellation
In the 25MY Enclave, the Buick team achieved the
atmosphere of well-being that is the goal for every
Buick cabin using Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), a
process they have continuously refined since its
inception. On models with uplevel sound systems, ANC
makes use of ceiling-mounted microphones to detect
cabin noise and send it to a computer to analyze the
frequency of the sound. Using this data, the system
then produces a sound to counteract the cabin noise
and plays it through the speakers and subwoofer of the
audio system.

The ANC of Enclave enabled noise cancellation at a
lower frequency than the previous-generation vehicle,
which as a matter of course leads to benefits such as
minimizing interference with voice commands. In this
instance, however, there is a surprising bonus to the
ANC process — one that extends to fuel economy.
Achieving noise cancellation at this lower frequency
enabled engineers to run Enclave’s engine at a lower
rpm, confident in the knowledge they could use ANC to
cancel out the unpleasant sound of engine “boom” that
sometimes occurs.

A Trim for Everyone

The Enclave trim strategy prioritizes self-expression.
From the well-equipped Preferred model, characterized
by premium-feeling materials and a standard tech
package, to the sportier finishes and unique stitching of
the ST, there is a vehicle to fit into any lifestyle.

Connected in Comfort

Just as Denali is to the GMC portfolio, the Avenir model
is the highest expression of Buick luxury, combining the
premier expression of Buick style with the brand’s most
lavish experience. Avenir offers expressive ambient
lighting above and beyond the static RGB lighting
available on all trims of Enclave. This allows customers
to bask in refinement with a dynamic and, in some
cases, customizable illumination of the instrument
panel and front doors, while static RGB lighting gives a
subtle touch of light to the center console. Enclave’s
Avenir model features additional premium touches,
such as leather seating and a unique 22-inch wheel
with Pearl Nickel finish. A simplified wheel portfolio
across all trim levels allows customers to focus on
other areas when customizing their vehicle.

Enclave’s 30-inch Ultrawide Infotainment Display is
comprised of two screens housed so seamlessly under
a single pane of glass that they appear as one unit.
This elegant execution of the cabin’s technological
command center carries across all trims. While
beautiful, it also provides invaluable and convenient
access to the vehicle’s technology, including Google
built-in, vehicle information and much more.

Other features found throughout Enclave that up the
intelligence quotient of the cabin and enhance the lives
of owners are a suite of safety features comprised of
the most comprehensive list ever included as standard
on a Buick vehicle. From Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist
Braking to Safety Seat Alert — which uses left-, rightor both side driver seat vibration pulses to help you
identify the direction of potential crashes — and more,
the technologies included with Enclave are looking out
for drivers, passengers and pedestrians. Additional
safety features are available through ordering options.

Surprisingly responsive for a three-row SUV, Enclave
inspires confidence through advanced technologies,
including the latest developments in the evolving realm
of safety features, such as Enhanced Automatic
Parking Assist and Automatic Parking Assist with
Braking, Front Pedestrian and Cyclist Collision
Mitigation, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking
and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Steering
Assist. These features are designed to help make the
road a safer place — and they are standard on all trim
levels of Buick Enclave.

Enclave also offers a wireless cell phone charger,
Connected Camera and Digital Key. Accessible through
the myBuick mobile app, Digital Key gives customers
the choice of using a digital version instead of a
physical key to enter, start and drive their vehicle.

All these factors contribute to Enclave’s easygoing
performance, which fosters a sense of connection to
the road while keeping drivers connected to the world
at large with a host of infotainment features ideal for
bringing the family along. The 25MY Enclave will
continue Buick’s legacy of achieving a level of harmony
that translates to a pleasant customer driving
experience.

Driver Assurance
The 25MY Enclave’s sumptuous styling hints at a silky
ride to match. The reality of the driving experience lives
up to this standard. In addition to a smooth ride,
Enclave provides confident acceleration, accurate
steering and braking that won’t be jarring to occupants
— all that’s needed to give drivers a firm command of
the road.
Enclave’s 2.5L turbocharged engine has the potential
to deliver 328 hp and 326 lb.-ft. of torque and is anticipated to be among the highest horsepower and torque
of any standard engine. Paired with a new 8-speed
automatic transmission, it strikes a satisfying balance of
performance and efficiency for customers. On Avenir, a
standard continuous damping control (CDC) allows the
driver to take on even rough roads with agility and
style.
