Condition
Some customers may notice while in stop-and-go traffic (around 5 mph), when using
Adaptive Cruise/One Pedal Drive, coming to a stop or almost a stop then taking off right
away (very brief stop), or when stopped if tapping lightly on/off the accel-pedal, there may
be noise that sounds like a clunking/grunting.
Cause
This is a normal sound from the ABS module stopping the vehicle. The volume level of
the noise may be determined by how far away the vehicle ahead of the customer’s vehicle is.
Information
There is no correction needed. This is a normal behavior of the system. Customers can
go into the cluster menu gap settings and adjust to “far” to help mitigate the sound. The
customer may also refer to the owner manual for how automatic braking may feel or
sound different than if the brakes were applied manually.
