Introduction
Some 2022 – 2024 model year Camry and Camry Hybrid
vehicles may exhibit a condition in which
a tapping/ticking noise near the B-pillar area and seat belt anchor point on the driver and/or
passenger side. This noise is typically present on non-smooth road conditions during warmer
weather. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

Repair Procedure
1. Confirm the condition exists.
Does the vehicle exhibit a condition where there is a tapping/ticking noise near the B-pillar
area and seat belt anchor point on the driver and/or passenger side?
YES — Continue to step 2.
NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable
Repair Manual.
2. Disconnect the 12V auxiliary battery.
3. Perform the following on the side where the noise is present.
A. Remove the front and rear door scuff plate.
Refer to TIS, applicable model and model year Repair Manual:

NOTE
Perform ONLY steps 5 and 9.
2022 – 2024 Camry Hybrid:

NOTE
Perform ONLY steps 4 and 8.
B. Remove the front and rear door opening weatherstrip trim from the B-Pillar.

4. Use a brass punch and hammer, as demonstrated in Figure 2, to strike with moderate/firm
force two times on each weld as depicted in Figure 3.

5. Reconnect the 12V auxiliary battery.
6. Confirm the condition is no longer present.
7. Reinstall the weatherstrip, garnishes, and scuff plates.
