Whats New Abstract
On certain Peterbilt Model 220EV Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), timer 2 for the HED® Telematic device may malfunction inside the cab harness. Due to
this malfunction, the fuse for the telematic device is being triggered. If fuse has blown, the timer may malfunction.

On certain Peterbilt Model 220EV Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), timer 2 for the HED® Telematic device may malfunction inside the cab harness. Due to
this malfunction, the fuse for the telematic device is being triggered. If fuse has blown, the timer may malfunction.

Chassis Affected
88 (78 U.S. and 10 Canada) 220EV Battery Electric Vehicles built from 07/22/2019 to 07/27/2023.

Action
Campaign
Service all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even if the customer has no issue with the chassis.
1. Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their chassis is on the list.
2. In Service Management, select Campaign 46006 to add it to the case. If the unit is released back into service without performing the repair, make
sure to also release the Campaign in Service Management.
3. If you are not using Service Management to start repair orders, review SIR for “Complete” next to the 46006 Campaign code prior to performing this
repair.
4. Refer to SIR to determine if campaign 32-022: 220EV Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Low Voltage Battery Upgrade is open and, if so, coordinate parts

5. Follow the procedures in the “Links” section to remove and bypass the telematics timer.

Warranty
For repairs completed by 06/01/2025, Peterbilt will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and labor:
0.3 hours to replace the telematic timers with the bypass harness. Use Recommended Repair code 46006.
For extraordinary circumstances, please use code 46006, add from "Recommended Repairs", and then select the gear icon to edit Parts/Labor/Misc.
For supplemental claims file a long form. Enter the campaign number (46006) in the “Campaign Code” field manually.
File the claim within 7 days in accordance with Warranty Policy.
Cross-division repairs are not allowed for this campaign.

Peterbilt is pleased to inform you that your vehicle is eligible for the following campaign:
46-006: 220EV Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) DANA Telematic Timer - On certain Peterbilt 220EV Battery Electric
Vehicles (BEVs) with build dates between 07/22/2019 to 07/27/2023, timer 2 for the HED® Telematic device is failing inside
of the cab harness. This is causing the fuse to blow for the telematic timer and an error message to appear on the center
display screen. Your Peterbilt dealer will remove the telematic timer and install an updated harness in its place.
The problem is…

The following campaign may also apply:
32-022: 220EV Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Low Voltage Battery Upgrade - On certain Peterbilt 220EV Battery
Electric Vehicles (BEVs) with build dates between 07/22/2019 to 07/27/2023, the low voltage batteries are unable to support
the additional power requirements of BEV systems. This may lead to depleted low voltage batteries. Your Peterbilt dealer
will replace both 12V low voltage batteries with 12V AGM deep cycle batteries at no cost to you.
In an effort to minimize your vehicle’s downtime, we are combining these updates into one service event.
Please contact a Peterbilt dealership to schedule an appointment for this improvement. If you have already had this work performed,
please disregard this letter. To find your nearest Peterbilt dealer, please visit the Dealer Locator at www.Peterbilt.com or scan the QR
code. When contacting your selected Peterbilt dealer, refer to campaigns 46-006 and 32-022 and the VIN(s) listed in this letter. The
work for this improvement will take approximately 2 hours of labor, depending on vehicle configuration and dealer scheduling. This
work will be performed at no charge to you.
If you had this repair performed before you received this letter, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining
a pre-notification remedy of the problem associated with this campaign. Please contact your Peterbilt dealer for more information.

32-022 : Mise à niveau de la batterie basse tension sur véhicule électrique à batterie (BEV) de modèle 220EV – Sur certains véhicules
électriques à batterie (BEV) Peterbilt 220EV, fabriqués entre le 22/07/2019 et le 27/07/2023, les batteries à basse tension sont incapables de
prendre en charge les exigences d’alimentation supplémentaires des systèmes BEV. Ceci pourrait occasionner des batteries basse tension
épuisées. Votre concessionnaire Peterbilt remplacera les deux batteries basse tension 12V par des batteries 12V AGM à décharge profonde,
sans frais.
