This bulletin applies to the following:

● B1 vehicles built on or after January 16, 2024 (MDH 0116XX) and
on or before March 11, 2024 (MDH 0311XX) equipped with a 1.3L
I4 Turbo MAIR DI Eng W/ESS E100.
● H1 vehicles built on or after January 08, 2024 (MDH 0108XX) and
on or before February 27, 2024 (MDH 0227XX).
● M1 vehicles built on or after March 04, 2024 (MDH 0304XX) and on
or before March 18, 2024 (MDH 0318XX) equipped with a 1.3L I4
Turbo MAIR DI Eng W/ESS E100.
● N4 vehicles built on or after February 23, 2024 (MDH 0223XX) and
on or before February 26, 2024 (MDH 0226XX).

CUSTOMER
SYMPTOM:

Customers may experience one or more of the following:
● Difficult to refuel the vehicle.
● Fuel odor detected.

CAUSE:

Loose quick connect fittings

This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Service Update (RSU) 24-101,
date of issue June 27, 2024. All applicable RSU VINs have been loaded. To verify this RSU service
action is applicable to the vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in DealerCONNECT/ Service
Library. All repairs are reimbursable within the provisions of warranty.

Service Action

REPAIR SUMMARY:
This bulletin involves inspecting, and if necessary, properly connecting the fuel hose quick connects.

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RSU VIN list, perform the repair. This RSU only applies to
vehicles on the RSU VIN list.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/
Service Library under: Service Info> 7050A22 - Assento de um banco traseiro - remoção/recolocação.
2. Lift the cover, remove the fasteners and remove the access covers for both the fuel pipes and the fuel
pump Fig. 1.

3. Inspect the fuel pipe and the fuel pump quick connects Fig. 2.

4. Are any of the quick connects at the fuel pipe or the fuel pump improperly connected?
● YES>>> Proceed to Step 5.
● NO>>> This bulletin has been completed. Use Inspection LOP (14-70-10-98) to close the active RSU.
5. Open the cover of the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the engine compartment and remove the fuel
pump fuse F009 (15 Amp).
6. Start the engine and run until the fuel in the lines is depleted.
7. Connect any incorrectly connected quick connects.
8. Install the fuse removed earlier and close the fuse box cover.
9. Install the fuel pipe and fuel pump covers Fig. 1.
10. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/
Service Library under: Service Info> 7050A22 - Assento de um banco traseiro - remoção/recolocação.
