Customer states:
• One of the symbols for “Audi pre sense not available at the moment” is shown for about 20 seconds after the
engine starts, and then it disappears (Figures 1 – 3).
• In some models, the vehicle must be moved before the initialization indicator goes out.

Technical Background
This icon is shown for about 20 seconds after switching the ignition on because Audi pre sense is not available at
the time. The front camera for driver assist systems R242 needs about 20 seconds, or, in some models, a velocity
signal, to start up.

1. Do not perform any repairs. Any repairs for this concern may be denied.
2. Inform the customer that it takes the front camera for the driver assist system (R242) about 20 seconds to start
up and the icon informs the driver of this fact. This is normal behavior.
