Description of Change
If the unit is experiencing belt shredding, the existing rubber damper can be replaced with a
viscous vibration damper.
Reason for Change
The viscous damper is more capable of dispersing the forces in the front-end accessory drive
system that could lead to belt shredding issues.
Service Instructions
Replace the existing rubber damper part with a viscous vibration damper. Reference Table 1 for
part numbers.
