Purpose
This document outlines how to replace
the pocket on Metallarte thermoformed
door panels. It also includes instructions for
replacing the window blind, which can be with
the same steps at the same time as the pocket
replacement.
Resources Required
+ Small flat head screwdriver
+ Utility knife
+ Scraper or razor blade
+ Electric screwdriver
+ Torque screwdriver
+ Rubber mallet
+ #2 Phillips head bit
+ PZ2 (Pozidriv) head bit
Procedure
1. Peel the door seal from its contoured seat Vii
using a flathead screwdriver or scraper. At the
beginning, work carefully to avoid damaging Fae ee
the seal at the point where the two ends join h

2. Remove the seal by peeling it off around ‘= ” aie,
the entire perimeter of the door. ee

13. Tighten the three screws on the
thermoformed panel pocket using
a torque-limiting screwdriver set to
0.4. Nm with a #2 Philips head bit. ze
Do not overtighten or the screws
will strip out the threads in the si a
plastic thermoformed material. ‘|
14. Insert a new replacement blind into y ]
the window opening. / \

perimeter of the blind using a
screwdriver with a PZ2 bit.

the double-sided tape along the
edges of the blind.
