Replace TIREFIT Bottle in Trunk

This is to notify you of the Service Campaign Launch to replace the TIREFIT bottle in the trunk in 16,303 Model Year (“MY”) 20232024 C-Class, CLE, E-Class, EQE, EQS, GLC, GLE, GLS, GT, S-Class, and SL vehicles (205, 206, 236, 213, 214, 238, 294, 295, 296,
297, 253, 167, 290, 223, 232 platform). The vehicles will be visible and flagged in VMI as “OPEN” on May 10, 2024.

Background
Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined
that on certain MY 2023-2024 C-Class, CLE, E-Class, EQE, EQS, GLC, GLE, GLS, GT,
S-Class, and SL vehicles (205, 206, 236, 213, 214, 238, 294, 295, 296, 297, 253,
167, 290, 223, 232 platform), the tire sealant bottle may not meet specifications.
The possibility exists that the tire sealant bottle may leak within the installation
location.

Issue

What We’re Doing

MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will
replace the TIREFIT bottle in the trunk.

The remedy is available and can be performed as necessary.

Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain
MY 2023-2024 C-Class, CLE, E-Class, EQE, EQS, GLC, GLE, GLS, GT, S-Class, and SL vehicles
(205, 206, 236, 213, 214, 238, 294, 295, 296, 297, 253, 167, 290, 223, 232 platform), the tire
sealant bottle may not meet specifications. The possibility exists that the tire sealant bottle may

leak within the installation location. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will replace the TIREFIT
bottle in the trunk.

Prior to performing this Campaign:


VMI must be checked before performing campaigns to verify that the campaign is required on
a specific vehicle. Always check for any other open campaigns and perform accordingly.



Please review the entire Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as
described.

Replace TIREFIT Bottle in Trunk
Work Procedure
1. Replace the tire sealant bottle (TIREFIT) in the vehicle.
The old tire sealant bottle (TIREFIT) must no longer be used and must be disposed of.
The filling hose of the old tire sealant bottle is reused.
If the old tire sealant bottle has leaked, clean the soiled areas, and replace the required component parts that
cannot be cleaned.
