This Notice Applies to Your Vehicle, Vehicle Identification Number (VIN): See Listing
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Ford Motor Company has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain
2021-2022 Model Year Econoline vehicles equipped with dual rear wheels with the VIN shown above.
We apologize for this situation and want to assure you that, with your assistance, we will correct this
condition. Our commitment, together with your dealer, is to provide you with the highest level of service
and support.
What is the issue?
On your vehicle, the power steering pressure line may be inadequately
connected to the brake Hydroboost unit, which may result in a leak or sudden
loss of power steering fluid.
This Safety Recall , 24S07, supersedes Safety Recall 22S08. Your vehicle
has been included in this recall because either 22S08 has not yet been
completed , or was inspected on or after January 29, 2023. The inspection
procedure may not have detected an incomplete connection of the power
steering pressure line.
What is the risk?
Sudden loss of power steering fluid may result in a loss of power steering
assist, requiring increased steering effort, and loss of power brake assist,
requiring increased force on the pedal to brake, potentially resulting in
increased stopping distance. Mechanical braking and steering will still
function. A sudden loss of power steering assist and power brake assist
increases the risk of a crash.
What will Ford and
your dealer do?
Ford will provide a power steering pressure line and Hydroboost jumper line
replacement as the remedy for this recall. If your vehicle was inspected within
the previous twelve months or if you had not yet had your vehicle inspected,
Ford will replace your power steering pressure line and Hydroboost jumper
line. Ford Motor Company is working closely with its suppliers to produce
parts for this repair. Parts are anticipated to be available in 02 2024.

What should you do?
When parts become available, Ford Motor Company will notify you via mail to
schedule a service appointment with your dealer for repairs to be completed
free of charge (parts and labor).
Ford has not issued instructions to stop driving your vehicle under this safety
recall. When parts are available, you should contact your dealer for an
appointment to have your vehicle remedied as soon as practicable. If you do
not already have a servicing dealer, you can access ford .com/support for
dealer addresses , maps, and driving instructions.
If you are still having difficulty getting your vehicle repaired in a reasonable

Ford Motor Company ha determinado que existe un defecto relacionado con la seguridad del vehiculo en
algunos vehiculos Econoline ario modelo 2021 -2022 equipados con ruedas traseras dobles con el VIN
que aparece arriba.
Lamentamos esta situaci6n y deseamos asegurarle que, con su ayuda, corregiremos el problema.

lCual es el
problema?
La tuberia de presi6n de la direcci6n hidraulica de su vehicu lo podria estar
conectada de forma inadecuada a la unidad de HydroBoost del freno, lo cual
podria ocasionar una fuga o una perdida repentina de fluido de la direcci6n
hidraulica.
Esta camparia de seguridad, 24S07, reemplaza la Campana de seguridad
22S08. Su vehf culo se incluy6 en esta camparia debido a que aun no ha
realizado la 22S08 o bien fue inspeccionado el o despues del 29 de enero de
2023. Es posible que el procedimiento de inspecci6n no haya detectado una
conexi6n incompleta de la tuberia de presi6n de la direcci6n hidraulica.
lQue riesgo exi ste? Una perdida repentina del fluido de la direcci6n hidraulica podria generar una
perdida de la asistencia de la direcci6n hidraulica, lo cual implica un mayor
esfuerzo en la direcci6n y una perdida de la asistencia de frenado electrico, lo
que se traduce en una mayor fuerza sabre el pedal del freno; esto
potencialmente podria traducirse en una mayor distancia de frenado. El frenado
mecanico y la direcci6n continuaran funcionando . Una perdida repentina de la
asistencia de la direcci6n hidraulica y de la asistencia del freno electrico
