Top door hinge (on body side)

Cause:

Due to a supplier error, there is the possibility that door hinges (on the body side) with a
reduced bore depth for receiving the door hinges (on the door side) have been installed at the
top of the affected vehicles.
This can lead to incorrect gap dimensions between the door and the vehicle body.

Action:

Check the top door hinges (body side) at the left and right and rework them if necessary.

Procurement campaign tool
In order to be able to check and rework the door hinges (on body side), a special test pin and special drill
are required. These can be obtained in a tool set from the TKR Automotive GmbH online shop.
Only one tool set is provided for each affected Porsche Center. Therefore, only one tool setmay be
ordered for each affected Porsche Center.

If the tool set was ordered on account, the invoice
to TKR Automotive GmbH must be paid within the
14-day payment period.

•

In each Porsche Center, the tool set must only be
invoiced once for the first vehicle during warranty
processing. Only the required materials and labor
time need to be invoiced in the campaign claim for
the remaining vehicles in the Porsche Center.

For warranty processing, the part number WPQ10000002 with the designation “tool set” can be
invoiced as an additional part in the warranty claim. Amount $50.61.

•

The shipping costs need to be invoiced once only for the first vehicle during warranty processing by
specifying part number WPQ10000003 with the designation “Shipping costs” as an additional
part and using the amount as per invoice. Only materials and labor time need to be invoiced in the
warranty claim for all other vehicles.

Insert the test pin into the bore of the door hinge (on body side) at the top.
Visually inspect the area between the test pin and the door hinge collar (on body side) at the top for
the air gap.

vacuum cleaner.

Carefully insert special drill  Reworking top door hinge (on body side) -3- into the bore on

Repositioning the drill several times to remove chips.
