Issue: Some 2022-2023 Mustang convertible vehicles may exhibit a convertible top that requires extra effort to latch.
This may be due to the convertible top assembly that is out of specification. To correct the condition, follow the
Service Procedure replace the convertible top assembly.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria:
* 2022-2023 Mustang Convertible
+ Has a convertible top that requires extra effort to latch

1. Replace the convertible top assembly. Refer to WSM, Section 501-18 Convertible Top > Removal and Installation
> Convertible Top Assembly.
NOTE: New convertible top materials are intended to be tight when first installed. Advise the customer that
the convertible should remain closed and latched for a minimum of 3 weeks to optimize latching efforts.
Opening the top during this time may extend this break-in period.
