Corrective Action
Verfy in VDA parameter P1SEQ is set to FALSE.
1. The technicians perception of P1SEQ is that the parameter
controls the LVD Device. The LVD Device is controlled by the LECM,
these are two different components that are not related.
2. P1SEQ is set false from the factory, after the technician changes
the status from false to true with Tech Tool(Parameter
Programming) the fault codes will become active when condition
are met to open relay20.
3. When P1SEQ is enable and when the conditions are met (low
voltage for 120s) the VECU commands RELAY20 to power off, that
causes the ECU's on that circuit to produces fault codes. ABS, VDS,
SRS…..
4. The technician will spend unnecessary time diagnosing the Active
Data Link fault codes caused by relay 20 being opened due to
condition met in the P1SEQ.
