PURPOSE
Indian Motorcycle has determined that some Model Year 2024 Chief motorcycles may not have the evaporative hose
routing decal installed. This bulletin affects less than 80 motorcycles.
To address this concern, Indian Motorcycle has released this Service Bulletin to install the missing evaporative hose
routing decal.

Dealers are required to review their sales records and make arrangements with customers for Bulletin completion. In
addition to consumer units, dealers are required to correct any affected units in their inventory. Indian Motorcycle will
be mailing a notification letter to consumers affected by this Bulletin. Indian Motorcycle will also send an email to
owners for whom Indian Motorcycle has a valid email address.

• US Dealers: On DEX, go to Service and Warranty > Warranty Claim and Extended Coverage > Start a New
Warranty Claim. Select Service Bulletin > Enter the VIN / PIN and Retrieve Registration. Select I-24-05-AA and Send
Claim.

COVERAGE PERIOD
Coverage will begin on April 16, 2024. This bulletin has no expiration date.

A California Proof of Correction Certificate must be completed and issued to the vehicle owner by the dealer, for each
vehicle affected by this bulletin. Make sure the vehicle owner knows to return this certificate to the DMV if required –
otherwise they should retain it for their records. The DMV clerk may ask for the P.O.C when attempting to register the
motorcycle.
The format and color of the certificate must match the examples shown below.

1. Park motorcycle on a flat surface, fully extend side
stand, and make sure vehicle is stable.
2. Turn key or ignition switch to OFF position and
remove key. If equipped with keyless fob, remove fob
from proximity of vehicle.
3. Clean the left side of the swingarm with isopropyl
alcohol.

1. Peel the back off of the EVAP decal.
2. Install the EVAP decal to the RIGHT of the VECI decal.

3. Submit a Service Bulletin Warranty Claim for
I-24-05-AA.

To address this concern, your Indian Motorcycle dealer has been authorized to install the missing evaporative hose routing
decal. This work will be performed by your dealer at no cost to you.
