Certain Maserati GranTurismo (M189) MY24 listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update
to replace both rear wheelhouses (aka inner fender liner) with a new retaining nut.
In some dynamic conditions, the rear wheelhouses can come into contact with the tire which
can produce unwanted noise. This anomaly can occur sporadically and does not affect the
drivability or stability of the vehicle.
The procedure, therefore, involves the replacement of both rear wheelhouse guards and the
retaining rivets.
We remind you that all the Rapid Updates must be performed within the first workshop visit,
regardless of the Mandatory setting set in Modis, as required by Maserati policies.
Also, for vehicles in Stock Dealer / PDI, it is necessary to carry out all action operations before
delivery to the end customer, as required by the White Book and explicitly reported in the Predelivery checklist.

1. Always check ModisCS+ to see if the vehicle is involved in this action and if it has not been
previously performed.
2. Remove the rear wheel according to the instructions in the workshop manual
a. 6.00.003 RH REAR WHEEL RIM

3. Remove the component currently mounted in the car, following the instructions contained in the
workshop manual.
a. 9.13.108 RH REAR WHEELHOUSE GUARD Removal and reconnection /replacement
b. 9.13.109 LH REAR WHEELHOUSE GUARD Removal and reconnection/replacement
4. Identify the wheelhouse retaining bracket
5. Remove the existing rivets using a 4.5 mm diameter drill bit (Or equivalent in size) and replace them
with the rivets indicated in the " spare parts" section of this bulletin.
Note: be careful and prevent rivet shaving from falling into the body.
6. Install the new wheelhouse guard following the instructions in reverse order to the removal sequence.
