Cause:
Different component levels are available for the headlight control unit and the LED light source
(matrix module) in the event of a replacement requirement. The previous component levels
are not compatible with the new component statuses.
Action:
Determine the components required for a replacement using the table in the section Technical Information 'overview for permissible combinations and options', and depending on the determined need for
replacement, replace the defective components or replace both previous components (headlight
control unit and LED light sources) with the new component level.
Information
If the affected components on an LED matrix main headlight are replaced by the new component level,
the second LED matrix main headlight can continue to be operated with the previous control units (mixed
installation of complete LED matrix main headlights is possible).

using the PIWIS Tester or read off from the control unit label.
The part number of the installed LED matrix module cannot be determined directly. Since the LED light
source (matrix module) 9J1941661 is compatible only with the headlight control unit index .BA and the
LED light source (matrix module) 9J1941661A is compatible only with the headlight index control unit
.BG, the headlight control unit can be used to trace back to the installed LED light source (matrix module).
