Customer,
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. This is to inform you that your vehicle may
contain a defect that could affect the safety of a person.
Peterbilt Motors Company has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain Model Year 2021-2024, 365, 367, 389, 535,
536, 537, 548, 567, and 579 vehicles manufactured from 11/09/2020 through 12/23/2022 with right-hand shift stalk part numbers Q21-6155-000, Q216164-000, and Q21-6165-000. The right-hand shift stalk may have an improper wire harness terminal crimp within the wire harness connector. Loss of
communication between the right-hand shift stalk and the transmission may result in the vehicle being disabled after it comes to a stop, which may increase
the risk of crash. A transmission fault will appear on the dash display if communication is lost.

When parts are available, your dealer will inspect the right-hand shift stalk and, if it is found defective, will replace
the shift stalk with a new part.
What should you do?
There is no action required on your part at this time.
Peterbilt has initiated this recall to remedy the issue with no charge to you. Currently, parts are not available to correct this condition. However, Peterbilt
is required to notify customers of the existence of the identified safety defect. You will be notified by mail when parts become available.
If any of the following warnings appear on your vehicle’s digital display, proceed with caution, and immediately find a safe place to pull off
the roadway or out of traffic. The shifter may not be able to change gear, for example, from forward to reverse.

Peterbilt Motors Company ha decidido que existe un defecto relacionado con la seguridad del vehículo en ciertos vehículos 365, 367, 389, 535, 536, 537,
548, 567 y 579 del año 2021-2024, fabricados desde el 11/09/2020 al 12/23/2022 con los números de pieza de palanca derecha Q21-6155-000, Q216164-000 y Q21-6165-000. La palanca derecha puede tener un borde inapropiado del terminal de cables con el conector del arnés. La pérdida de

Le présent avis vous est envoyé conformément à la Loi sur la sécurité automobile. La présente a pour but de vous informer que votre véhicule peut
contenir une défectuosité qui pourrait porter atteinte à la sécurité humaine.
Peterbilt Motors Company a constaté qu’une défectuosité reliée à la sécurité des véhicules automobiles est présente dans certains véhicules de modèles
365, 367, 389, 535, 536, 537, 548, 567 et 579 des années 2021-2024, fabriqués entre le 09/11/2020 et le 23/12/2022, équipés d’un levier d’engrenage côté
droit portant les numéros de pièces Q21-6155-000, Q21-6164-000 et Q21-6165-000. Il est possible que le sertissage de la borne du faisceau électrique au
connecteur du faisceau électrique du levier d’engrenage côté droit soit inapproprié. Une perte de communication entre le levier d’engrenage côté droit et la
transmission pourrait faire en sorte que le véhicule soit non fonctionnel par suite d’un arrêt, ce qui pourrait augmenter le risque d’accident. Une défectuosité
de la transmission apparaîtra dans l’affichage du tableau de bord s’il n’y a plus de communication.

Peterbilt a mis en place ce rappel afin de remédier au problème, sans frais. Présentement, les pièces pour corriger cette condition ne sont pas disponibles.
Cependant, Peterbilt se doit d’aviser ses clients de la présence d’une telle défectuosité reliée à la sécurité. Vous serez avisé, par courrier, lorsque les
pièces seront disponibles.
Si l’un des avertissements suivants apparaît dans l’affichage numérique de votre véhicule, procédez avec prudence et trouvez immédiatement un
endroit sécuritaire où vous retirer de la route ou du trafic. Il est possible que le levier ne soit pas en mesure de changer d’engrenage, à titre
d’exemple, de marche avant vers marche arrière.

Si l’affichage numérique indique "Changer vitesse : restriction – entretien transmission requis" et que le véhicule demeure au point mort, suivez la
procédure ci-après.
1. Placez le levier d’engrenage en position "N".
2. Placez la clé de contact en position arrêt, puis en position marche.
3. Si le branchement du bras de vitesse est rétabli, le camion peut être démarré et opéré. Retirez-vous immédiatement de la route ou du trafic, dans un
endroit sécuritaire.
4. Si le branchement du bras de vitesse n’est pas rétabli, procédez à l’étape 5.
5. La clé de contact en position arrêt, manœuvrez le levier à toutes les positions d’engrenage puis à toutes les positions du frein moteur.
6. Retournez le levier d’engrenage en position "N".
7. Placez la clé de contact en position arrêt, puis en position marche.
8. Si le branchement du bras de vitesse est rétabli, le camion peut être démarré et opéré. Retirez-vous immédiatement de la route ou du trafic, dans un
endroit sécuritaire.
