This Diagnostic Sheet serves as a guide and provides additional diagnostic information for
possible side window wind noise while driving in the Granturismo. Please follow the instructions
below and provide the required measurements via Blue on Line before carrying out any
adjustments to the windows.
1) Find and identify the source/area of the noise by performing a test drive.
Mark the area in the image below of the suspected noise and document in detail its
exact location. (example: “Driver side window”)

2) Apply three separate strips of tape to the window in the points highlighted below, then

close the door and roll up the window completely.
3) Draw a horizontal line on all three strips of tape at the edge of the door seal to measure
the insertion of the window into the seal. The specification provides for an insertion range
between 2 and 6 mm:

4) In closed window conditions, measure at the two points indicated (Points 4, 5, 6, 7):
•
The gap between movable front and fixed rear windows (Nominal values 10 ± 1,5 mm)
•
Flush between movable front and fixed rear windows (Nominal values 1,5 ± 1 mm)
NOTE: the front movable window is always over profile compared to the fixed rear
window
5) In closed window conditions, check the fit between the Window and the rear gasket
(The window must be in contact with the gasket) – Attach Pictures to the BOL.

Inspect the outer door window seal fitment between the hood and the glass and check
that it is fitted so that the molding sits underneath the front hood - Attach Pictures to the
BOL

6) Inspect the side mirror trim and check that it is fitted underneath the upper molding Attach Pictures to the BOL.
