Dealer Issue Detection – Incident (DID-I) – VIP Message
Effective with VIP inquiries on or after February
6, 2024, dealers will begin to see the DID-I
message (DID-I is required for all warranty
repairs on this vehicle) displayed in the VIP

Warning Messages for all eligible vehicles (see
screen print below). For further information on
DID-I, please see Warranty Bulletin D-24-01.

Message Code CF3 - Small Leak Verification Test - Claim Entry
Requirement
Effective with repairs on or after February 14,
2024, reject Message Code (CF3 – Small Leak
Verification Test must be performed with
wiTECH before and after repair for DTC P0456.
The test results are missing or the test failed.),
will no longer be a Paid message code and the

claims will require RA review. This message
code is to verify that the evaporative emissions
system test is performed and to verify that the
leak is fixed. If the test is not performed or if
the test fails, GCS will set the CF3 Message
Code on the claim.

Mopar Part Registration for Campaign Parts – Not Required
Mopar Part Registration IS NOT required for
Campaign (Safety Recall, Emissions or CSN) “C”
parts. There is no way to register Campaign
parts in the Mopar Part Registration system.
To determine the Campaign part coverage start

date, use the date of the PAID Campaign claim
found in GCS.
NOTE: The Serial ID Tag will not match any
available documents, due to the part not being
registered.

Symptom/Vehicle Issue:
Warning (FCW) Light ON

Front

Collision

Customer effect: If a Warning message on IPC,
Front Collision Warning (FCW) Light Comes On.
The following messages could appear on display:
Service Forward Collision Warning, Active Driving
Assist (ACC)

They can be blinded, and are due to grazing sun,
rain, fog, snow, glare. Once these conditions
cease to exist, the warning light goes out and the
system resets automatically.
Some other conditions of fully obstruction
(missing or dirt in the area of the device) are
possible and for these it is necessary to clean the
windshield to be recovered.

If DTCs are stored and the FFCM (Forward
Facing Camera Module), also called HALF (Haptic
Lane Feedback) view out of the windshield is
clear, clear error memory.

As it is a vision system, it is physically limited like
any other camera or vision system, and this does
not mean the camera or related system presents
any other issue.

If DTCs C14A5-97, C14A5-92 are active, Sensor
blocked or blinded, follow as below.

To avoid warranty claims please proceed to the
authorized repair methods for the specific
diagnostic trouble codes C14A5-97 and C14A592. These codes do not require any camera or
component replacement.

This is caused by an external condition to the
FCW camera (Video sensor temporarily blinded
by environmental conditions).

Refueling Procedure - PHEV – MY 2023 - 2024 Dodge Hornet (GG)/
Alfa Romeo Tonale (GC)
Before replacing a Fuel Door due to “the Fuel
Door won’t open”, in PHEV vehicles, review the
description in the user/owner manual.
To refuel proceed as follows:
Switch off the engine and set the automatic
transmission to P (Park) as soon as the Fuel Door
Release Button (1), shown in Fig. 259 below is
pressed. A procedure is started to release

pressure in the Fuel Tank; refueling will be
possible once the pressure has been released.
Generally, the depressurization procedure is
quite rapid, although it could last up to 15-20
seconds in high ambient temperatures. The Fuel
Door (see Fig. 260 below) is then unlocked and
opened. If necessary, finish opening manually
then refuel.

Key Fob Functional Issues - MY 2023 - 2024 Dodge Hornet (GG)/
Alfa Romeo Tonale (GC)
If a customer experiences Key Fob intermittent
functionality or a specific message on the cluster
showing “Key Fob battery low”, the below steps
must be followed. Please report to FCA US LLC
all the recorded data.
1. Record Vehicle Scan Report (VSR) of that
vehicle before operating the Key Fob.
2. Record the list of Enabled Key Fob IDs
from iBCM memory (RDI reading: $2943).
3. Retrieve

the

customer

the

suspected Key Fob. It is always
suggested to retrieve all Key Fobs owned
by the customer.
4. Send the unlock command to the vehicle
doors using the specific button on the
suspected Key Fob.

5. Enter the vehicle (if door is still locked,
using the emergency key) with the
suspected Key Fob in the hand.
6. Push the start button.
7. Record VSR of that vehicle; check if Key
Fob battery low DTC is set and note that
down.
8. If the message below is NOT shown and
the vehicle correctly went to Ignition Run
after step 6., the Key Fob battery must
not be replaced. See Note 1.
9. If the message below is shown, remove
and replace the original battery in the
suspected Key Fob.
10. Push the start button to put the vehicle in
Ignition Off.

11. After at least 3 seconds, repeat items 6
through 8.
12. If the vehicle didn’t go to Ignition Run,
replace Key Fob battery with a new one.
13. If, subsequently, the Key Fob is still not
operating, replace it and send it back to

14. If the second Key Fob of that vehicle is
available, repeat items 4 through 13.
The return of incorrect batteries or Key Fobs that
were not registered to the specific vehicle may
be charged back.

Note 1: Please remind the customer that The Key
Fob wireless signal may be blocked if the Key Fob
is close to a metal object or electronic devices
(e.g.: wireless charger, smartphone, laptop). This
can cause malfunctions and/or reduced
performance of the access and start functions of
the vehicle.
