Forest River is alerting you to an issue involving certain 2024 Puma Fifth Wheel and Travel Trailer Recreational Vehicles.

Please see the information below, which describes the issue and provides you with details on the steps you should take to

have your vehicle repaired.

WHAT IS THE ISSUE?

The Alpha Roof Sealant may cause the Solar Panel Inlet to crack, which may allow water intrusion.

allow water intrusion.

Part(s) Return: NO, FIELD DESTROY
Turn off LP Gas at LPG Tank(s). Disconnect the vehicles’ battery Positive and Negative, disconnect any

House battery(s) Positive and Negative, if equipped with a generator ensure it is off and lastly, ensure the

vehicle is disconnected from shore power. Block any tires/wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.

Failure to do so may result in electrocution, fire or other personal injury, property damage and/or death.

CERTAIN 2024 - PUMA

STEP 1: REMOVE THE CRACKED COMPONENT;

• THIS IS DONE BY REMOVING THE SELF-LEVELING SEALANT, SCREWS, AND LIFTING THE COMPONENT FROM THE ROOF;

• CLEAN ALL EXCESS SEALANT FROM THE ROOF;

STEP 2: PREP THE REPLACEMENT COMPONENT BY INSTALLING NEW 1/8” X 3/4" BUTYL TAPE TO THE UNDERSIDE FLANGE OF THE

NEW PART;

STEP 3: IF THE REPLACEMENT COMPONENT IS POLYCARBONATE, DO NOT PRIME THE PART;

• SEAL AROUND THE NEW PART WITH 1021 SELF-LEVELING SEALANT;

STEP 4: IF THE REPLACEMENT COMPONENT IS POLYPROPYLENE, THE PART DOES NEED PRIMED;

• THE PRIMER NEEDS TO DRY COMPLETELY BEFORE SEALING AROUND THE COMPONENT WITH 5121 SELF-LEVELING

SEALANT;

STEP 5: THE REPAIR IS NOW COMPLETE, CLEAN AREA AND CLAIM REPAIR CODE.

Please see the information below, which describes the issue and provides you with details on the steps you should take to

WHAT IS THE ISSUE?

The Alpha Roof Sealant may cause the Solar Panel Inlet to crack, which may allow water intrusion.

OWNERS: WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

Please contact your dealer immediately and request a service appointment to schedule the free repair. *This TSB will

expire on March 31, 2025, or at the end of Forest River Manufactures’ Warranty, whichever occurs first. The

vehicle Owner is responsible for arranging to have the work completed. Please state you have been notified by Forest

River of the issue and provide the TSB number (located at the top of this page) to the dealership. It is also helpful to give

the dealership a copy of this letter when you take your vehicle in for repair. You may visit www.forestriverinc.com to

search for dealer locations.

HOW LONG WILL THE REMEDY PROCESS TAKE?

The estimated time of repair is .50 hours. However, the dealership may need to keep your vehicle or schedule an

appointment with you for a later date to fit into their regular service schedule.

Fermez le robinet du réservoir de gas propane. Débranchez les bornes positives et négatives de la batterie et de

toute autre batterie auxiliaire, si une génératrice est installée, assurez-vous qu'elle est à l'arrêt et enfin assurezvous que le véhicule n'est pas branché à une alimentation électrique extérieure. Bloquez les pneus et les roues

pour empêcher le véhicule de bouger. Le non-respect de ces règles peut provoquer une électrocution, un

incendie, des dommages à la propriété ou des blessures personnelles, et même la mort.

ÉTAPE 1: RETIREZ LES PIÈCES FISSURÉES;

• POUR CE FAIRE, ENLEVEZ LES TRACES DE SCELLANT ET LES VIS, PUIS RETIREZ LA PIÈCE DE

LA SURFACE DU TOIT.

• NETTOYEZ L'EXCÉDENT DE SCELLANT DE LA SURFACE DU TOIT

ÉTAPE 2: PRÉPAREZ LA PIÈCE DE REMPLACEMENT EN INSTALLANT UN NOUVEAU RUBAN DE BUTYLE DE 1/8”

X 3/4" (3MM X 19MM) SOUS LA BASE DE LA NOUVELLE PIÈCE

ÉTAPE 3: SI LA NOUVELLE PIÈCE EST CONSTITUÉE DE POLYCARBONATE, N'UTILISEZ PAS D'APPRÊT;

• APPLIQUEZ DU SCELLANT AUTONIVELANT 1021 AUTOUR DE LA PIÈCE

ÉTAPE 4: SI LA NOUVELLE PIÈCE EST CONSTITUÉE DE POLYPROPYLÈNE, APPLIQUEZ UN APPRÊT.
