Dear Dealers,
Ongoing quality checks on the new Hypermotard 698 revealed the possibility that the fuel
union is not properly engaged on the fuel pump.
Hence the need to check the correct engagement of the union.
This is necessary because the union itself could have interfered with the electrical connector
of the fuel pump, preventing its complete and correct engagement.
It is therefore necessary to quickly check the correct engagement of the union on all vehicles
before pre-delivery operations (including engine start-up and road test) and in any case before
delivery to the end client. The check is carried out in a few minutes by removing the seat,
without removing other components (see the Service solution section).
As of the date of activation of this campaign, no vehicle has been delivered to end clients.
We would also like to inform you that as of 01/26/2024, the DMH production line has checked
and certified the assembly.

VIN HISTORY

It is possible to search by individual frame number.

CAMPAIGNS

It is possible to search for all the frame numbers that you
received from Ducati Motor Holding.

WARNING
On the frame numbers involved in this Pre-delivery Campaign it will NOT be
possible to activate the warranty until the campaign is completed.
Client Impact
All motorcycles in your inventory (to be registered or already registered) and to be delivered to
final Clients, will have to be updated during pre-delivery operation, always before delivery to
the final Client. Note: this is NOT a safety recall.

Warranty Reimbursement Rules
Reimbursement for work associated with this Workshop Campaign will be made through the
regular warranty claim procedure using the “VIN History” section of the DCS.
The warranty claim is pre-filled and identified as CR266.
Operation includes reimbursement for the labor for
the time necessary for:

Vehicle reception

Check and if necessary, reposition the fuel pump/injector pipe.

To ensure the correct execution of the operation within the provided labor time to
carry out the updates, it is necessary to follow the sequence indicated in the
following instructions.
We recommend taking your time to fully understand the procedure before
attempting its implementation on the motorcycle (you may print the document in
color for a better understanding).
We also remind you that the work environment where you carry out the procedure
and the tools and equipment used (wrenches and gloves) must be clean.

1. Position the motorcycle on the rear paddock stand.
2. Remove the rider seat (see sect. 05 "Fairing-Seat" of the Workshop DCS Manual).
3. Move the pipe backwards and away from the electrical connector of the fuel pump.
4. Push the fuel pipe union upwards.
5. To check the correct positioning, push the union downwards.
WARNING
If the pipe should come loose, we ask you to report it through a Youtech service
request to claim warranty authorization and proceed with the repair.

6. Position the pipe as shown in the figure.

7. Fit the rider seat (see sect. 05 "Fairing-Seat" of the Workshop DCS Manual).
8. Remove the bike from the rear paddock stand.
9. Perform a soft cleaning of the motorcycle prior to delivering to the client.
