FOLLOW YOUR INTERNAL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
CAUTION
Be sure the vehicle is parked in a place where the work can be performed safely and away from any potential
vehicle traffic and the parking brake is set so to prevent any movement of the vehicle. Since the work to
be performed is in close proximity to the vehicle engine and other systems that potentially have moving
parts you must ensure that the engine is off and the engine or other systems cannot be activated while the
change out of the lamp is being made.
PROCEDURE

Park the vehicle on an even surface with the transmission on neutral.
Apply the parking brake and set the master control switch to the stop position.
Set the battery disconnect switch in the battery compartment to the off position.

Locate the lamp wiring and the point at which the wiring of the lamp is connected to the vehicle harness
(see figure 1).

Disconnect the lamp connector from the mating vehicle harness connector, employ a small tool like a
screwdriver to disengage the locking tab securing the connectors in place(see figure 2).

Remove the wiring from all fastening points between the lamp/vehicle connection to the point where the lamp
passes through the vehicle body to the bottom of the lamp (see figure 3).
NOTE
Make note of the wire routing for later when a new lamp is being installed.

From the vehicle’s exterior, remove the two screws from the lamp that are being used to secure the lamp to
the vehicle (see figure 4).
NOTE
Retain these screws for future use when installing the new lamp onto the vehicle.

Remove the lamp from the vehicle and smoothly pull the wiring through the access hole that the wiring is
passing through. In cases where the hole is elongated, it may be necessary to rotate the lamp connector to
enable the passage of all connectors through the vehicle access hole.

Install the new light by feeding the lamp wire harness/connector through the wiring access hole, position the
lamp so that the mounting holes on the lamp line up with the mounting holes on the vehicle and secure it
with the previously removed screws.

Reroute the wiring along the same path as that of the lamp previously removed.
Connect the vehicle lamp to the vehicle harness connector. The connector is polarized so if there is difficulty
making the connection it may need to rotate one of the connectors by 180 degrees.

Test the lamp to ensure it was properly installed and illuminated.
Vehicle ready for service.
