Update of Warranty

Condition
The customer complains of warning(s) in the instrument cluster for “Front (left or right) indicator fault” and possibly
“Vehicle lighting fault”. Visible symptoms for this concern involve a combination of the turn signal indicator in the
instrument cluster rapid blinks and the turn signal stops blinking orange. Fault code “C11A401 Turn signal bulb,
electrical malfunction” will be present in at least one headlight.
Possibly “B182700 – Feedback, blinking status, impl. Signal” will also be present.
B182700 is a consequential fault in the rear BCM.

Technical Background
Due to the software diagnostics of the front exterior lighting system, when vehicle voltage is low enough (instrument
cluster displaying voltage at 11.9V or lower), operating the turn signals will cause the faults and conditions described to occur. These conditions can be presented in a key-on/engine-off state, or while start-stop is engaged.

Service Information
Test and verify the 12V AGM battery is healthy and able to maintain a charge.
The temporary solution for this issue is to replace the basic LED headlights with the upgraded PDLS headlights
option (not PDLS+).

Using GFF, verify the concern is isolated to the specified conditions described above for this issue, thus ensuring no
other concerns exist.
Create a Pre-VAL.
Perform the headlight replacements with the listed parts:
a.
Left and Right PDLS headlights
b.
958941572A - Power module for main light electronics LED headlight
c.
95890739900 - electronic control module LED module
Using the PIWIS tester, change the M-Code to 8IS in the MOVD and perform auto-coding in each headlight control
unit.

Create a Post-VAL.
Confirm operation of the headlights and turn signals.
This ATI will be updated when a software solution has been released.

As of the release of this document, PAG has restricted these parts because there is limited stock available. Porsche
Centers should order VOR-PDX and be sure to check the ‘Car Down’ flag, where appropriate. PCNA will prioritize and
release these parts orders in the sequence they are received, as stock becomes available. VOR-PDX orders utilizing
the Car Down flag do not need a Parts PRMS ticket for release. Please reference this ATI.
