IF YOU CONFIRM
The customer reports the vehicle has reduced power after a cold start at below freezing
temperatures (0°C / 32°F and below).
HINT: DTC P0524 for “ENGINE OIL PRESSURE” may be stored in the ECM.

ACTION
Refer to the SERVICE PROCEDURE in this bulletin to install a PCV hose protector.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Open the hood.

PCV hose

Locate the PCV hose.


Clean the surface of the PCV hose
and existing cover, as needed.

Slide the three (3) PCV hose protector
straps underneath the PCV hose, as
shown in Figure 3.


Lift the PCV hose protector up and
over the PCV hose so that the strap
buttons are centered on top of the
PCV hose, as shown in Figure 4.

Button the three (3) straps, as shown
in Figure 5.


6.

Ensure the PCV hose protector
fully covers the PCV hose.

Change the engine oil and oil filter.

