WPR8 - Checking Crankcase Sensor and Reworking if Necessary (Workshop Campaign)

Crankcase sensor on cylinder bank 1 and cylinder bank 2
Cause:
On the affected vehicles, there is a possibility that the crankcase sensors were not engaged
correctly during the production run.
Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that damage within the sensor may occur over the vehicle service life
due to the vibration load during vehicle operation. Subsequently, this can result in activation of the Check
Engine light (MIL).
Action:
Check crankcase sensor and rework if necessary.

direction- locking lugs on -2- the new oil
separator.

Install new oil separator of the corresponding
cylinder bank. Workshop Manual '105519

Read out and delete all control unit fault memories.

Press •F7“ in the control unit selection
screen (‘Overview’ menu) to call up the Additional menu.

Select the function “Read all fault memories
and erase if required” and press •F12“
