Information:
Customers complaint of a yellow warning message “Engine control fault” in the instrument cluster.

The following fault memory entry is stored in the fault memory of the DME control unit:

Cause:
P310B00 - Fuel low-pressure system, control outside tolerance
The fuel low-pressure pump for fuel delivery from the fuel tank to the engine is a screw spindle pump. The

delivery rate and the supply pressure of the fuel low-pressure pump are not always at the same level in

near-idle mode due to the concept. In the event of a fault, the supply pressure for the engine operating

state is too high.
Action required: In the event of a customer complaint, re-program the DME control unit using the PIWIS Tester with PIWIS

Tester software version 41.600.020 (or higher) installed.

Read and follow the information and instructions

on the PIWIS Tester during the guided

programming sequence.

During the programming sequence, the DME

control unit is re-programmed and then automaticallyre-coded.
Programming sequence:
Do not interrupt programming and coding.

Once the control units have been programmed and

coded, you will be prompted to switch the ignition off

and then back on again after a certain waiting time.

Backup documentation of the new software versions

is then performed.
