Summary
This article supersedes TSB 23-2302 to update the Service Procedure and Parts List.
Issue: Some 2024 Mustang vehicles built on or before 04-Dec-2023 may exhibit a condition where the rear bumper
cover has poor fitment and/or excessive body gap where it meets the quarter panel. This may be due to incorrect
installation and/or poor attachment to the bumper support bracket. To correct this condition, follow the Service
Procedure to replace the rear bumper cover side bracket with revised versions.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition that meets the following criteria:
• 2024 Mustang
• Built on or before 04-Dec-2023
• Rear bumper cover has poor fitment and/or excessive body gap where it meets the quarter panel

Service Procedure
1. Does the rear bumper cover have poor fitment and/or excessive body gap where it meets the quarter panel as
shown in Figure 1?
(1). Yes - proceed to Step 2.
(2). No - this article does not apply.

2. Remove the rear bumper cover. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-19.
3. Replace the right hand side and left hand side rear bumper cover side brackets shown in Figure 2.

NOTE: Be sure that the foam block is located in the area shown in Figure 3 on the left and right side of the
vehicle when the rear bumper cover is installed. If the foam block is loose or is missing install a new foam
block.

4. Reassemble the vehicle.
