SITUATION

DABM (Dual Auxiliary Battery Module – 12V battery system) may drain while parked for extended time

resulting in a “no-start” condition.

CAUSE

DCM (Door Control Modules) sleep current (ignition-off current draw) is too high.

CORRECTION

Replace all four DCM (Door Control Modules) and door harnesses.

PROCEDURE
Removal

NOTE: Use of a forked trim removal tool may be needed for this procedure.
Removal

1. Open door.

2. Release clips (x2) securing grommet carrier to vehicle.
3. Disconnect harness connectors (x4) Y601_1, Y601_2, Y601_3 and Y601_4 from door harness.

CAUTION

CAUTION: Place on secure suitable surface to prevent damage.

4. Remove M5x10 bolts (x5) securing door cladding lamp to door. Torque 3 Nm.
5. Release clips (x4) securing door cladding lamp to door.
6. Remove the Cladding Light connector.

7. Remove door cladding lamp and set aside.

8. Release clips (x4) securing switch pack to armrest.
9. Remove switch pack.

10. Disconnect harness connector D1205_1 from switch pack.

11. Remove M6x16 bolt securing door trim to door. Torque 1.09 Nm.
12. Carefully pull back corners of door trim to release clips (x10) securing door trim to door.
13. Remove door trim NVH pad.

14. Disconnect harness connectors (x2) X603_1 and X603_2 from door trim harness.

15. Release door release cable from emergency release handle.
16. Release clip securing door release cable to emergency release handle.
17. Remove front door trim and set aside.

18. Disconnect harness connector D1607_1 & Release Clip from front door speaker.
19. Remove M6x12 screws (x3) securing front door speaker to door. Torque 1 Nm.
20. Remove front door speaker.

21. Disconnect harness connectors (x4) D1335_1, D1335_2, D1335_3 and D1335_5 from front door

control module.
22. Remove M5x40 screws (x3) securing front door control module to door. Torque 1.2 Nm.
23. Remove door control module and set aside as it will be replaced with a new one.

24. Disconnect mirror harness connectors (x3) D1401_1, D1401_2 and D1401_3 from door harness.

(Only applies to front doors)
25. Release clips (x4) securing door harness to water shield.
26. Release clips (x2) securing door harness to water shield.

27. Release clip securing door harness to door.

28. Set door harness aside.

29. Release clip securing door release cable to water shield.

30. Release clip securing door release cable to door.
31. Remove M5x12 bolts (x13) securing door water shield to door. Torque 1.2 Nm.
32. Remove water shield.

33. Remove M5x10 torx screw securing rear of outer belt seal to door. Torque 5.6 Nm.
34. Release the outer belt seal from door.

35. Remove front outer belt seal.

36. Disconnect harness connector D1321_1 from outer belt seal sensor.

37. Disconnect harness connector D1201_1 from window motor.
38. Disconnect harness connector D1345_1 from door latch.

39. Disconnect harness connector D1308_1 from door latch.
40. Disconnect harness connector D1301_1 from door power actuator.

41. Release grommet and pull harness through door.

42. Release tabs (X3) securing grommet to door.

43. Remove grommet.

44. Release clips (x17) securing door harness to door.

45. Release grommets (x3) from door.
Pull harness through apertures and remove door harness.
Installation

Installation is the reverse of removal procedure except for the following:

1. Clean mating surface between door and inner belt.

2. Replace all (15) Door Panel Clips on each panel with a new clip. Do not reuse old clips.

3. Repeat the same procedure for each door.
