It has come to our a en on that the polycarbonate plas c u lized to manufacture a c vents for the RV
industry may be incompa ble with the 5121 self-leveling roof sealant that we u lize. We have received
reports of cracked a c vents in the field that we believe are the result of the sealant being more rigid than
what is tradi onally u lized. This addi onal rigidity does not permit the a c vent to expand and contract and
can result in the a c vent cracking either along the loca on of the moun ng screw holes and, in some cases,
cracking ver cally up the a c vent.
We have located another a c vent source that is made u lizing polypropylene versus polycarbonate. The
polypropylene plas c is less bri le and is a be er material for our seals applica on. We are pushing to supply
our customers with a near maintenance free roof and the seals package we u lize is cri cal to this goal.
Other than the present a c vents and solar port, all other plas c components on the roof that are subjected
to our seals is made of polypropylene. We are also ac vely working to change the solar ports to
polypropylene to eliminate the use of polycarbonate en rely from the roof of all Brinkley RVs.
Although the cost of an a c vent is minimal, the poten al for damage to the RV due to water intrusion in the
event the a c vents cracked is substan al. As such, we are issuing a Customer Sa sfac on Campaign CSC2309 to authorize the replacement of all a c vents on Model G and Z units with the following VIN Ranges:

Model G VIN Range: 000006 – 000015, 000017 – 000025, 000027 – 000029, 000031 – 000069, 000071000076, 000078 – 000162, 000164 – 000171, 000173 – 000208, 000210 – 000228, 000230 – 000242, 000244

Brinkley RV will pay for the Campaign to be completed. There is no charge to the customer for the
remedy.





We are providing 0.3 hours per a c vent to complete this campaign.
The Flat Rate for this repair will be CSC-2309
A photo of the completed repair at each a c vent is required.

Although the remedy is a simple one, we want to stress the importance of ge ng this remedy
completed as soon as possible. Should water intrude into the unit from a cracked a c vent, the repairs
to the unit to remedy water intrusion will likely be substan al.
