The customer states that the airbag warning light is illuminated.
Workshop findings:
The following DTC is stored in the airbag control unit -J234- (address word 0015):
• DTC B10041B: Front passenger head curtain airbag igniter, resistance too high.

Technical Background
During production the wire harness may have been pinched during assembly.

routing in the area of the
red circle shown in Figure
1.

loosen the harness in
order to inspect/repair.
To do so:
• Remove the passenger
A-pillar trim.
• Unclip the harness
from the securing tabs
indicated by the red
circles in Figure 2.

closely as the damage
may only be visible after
removing the harness
tape.
Repair the affected wires
using wiring harness
repair set VAS 1978 B/C
Secure the wires as
needed to ensure they no
longer contact other
components (Figure 3).
