WPQ8 – Reviewing Supply Fuel Line and Evap Purge Line and Reworking if Necessary

Concerns:

Supply and evap purge line

Cause:

Due to a temporary assembly process error, it is possible that the supply and/or evap purge
line or the associated spring band clamps were not installed on the affected vehicles in
accordance with the specifications.
If this is the case, this may under certain conditions lead to a fuel leak in the engine compartment and a
smell of fuel.

Action:

Check the supply and evap purge line and secure correctly if necessary.

Information
The following procedure must be observed if the fuel line and / or spring band clamp are not correctly
fastened to the inflow and / or evap purge line:
•

Carry out photo documentation of the complaint. The images must be documented such that the
affected areas are clearly visible.

•

Upload the images to the PCCS process line with the respective labelling of the affected area, e.g.
spring band clip for fuel line inflow_VIN_Image 1.

•

Rework affected components.
